The Garden is Chopped to Pieces, but it's a Good Thing
I bought a reciprocating saw and what fun they represent and what power. I can not only chop off overhanging nopal cacti and overhanging tree branches, but can chop bamboo off at the ground level and have even considered lowering all of my furniture, by cutting down the legs... So, I put the saw...

I raked for hours and made piles of stuff and then, I left town...
When I returned from my trip, the piles were scattered and the garden was full of everything that I hadn't tied down before leaving. I must now rake again. I bought hooks for all of my garden tools and hooks for all of my household implements and they were where I had left them. The new garbage can...

My Gardener just Stopped by and the Garden Amazed Him
There are seven paper bags which used to hold 40 pounds of birdseed, which were being kept to bag up dog poop, etc., but which Baby the puppy tore to shreds. There are teddy bear guts and nativity packaging (ie. peanuts and styrofoam wavelets, all over the front and back gardens. The bamboo has been...

Garden Now Replaces Storage Shed....
My seven months pregnant (ex, but never ex, you know?) DIL was going to empty her storage shed (rental) to save money and to have a yard sale of her goods. She was going to empty the shed on her own!! Her home's renters are not paying their rent and she is in a panic, having no discretionary funds...

Garden and House Decorated for Halloween by Family Spiders and Friends
I have not been in the front garden to do anything more than scoop poop for months. I turn on the hose and water things to keep them alive and that's it. Smae with the back garden. Inside the house, I sweep and mop daily and that's it. You cannot tell that I do this, because thirty minutes after...

So busy inside that my garden came in the door to get attention from me.
There are spiders in all corners, I just noticed today, looking up for the first time in months. One Daddy Long Legs has a really intricate web from the bookcase to my computer desk and he works on it constantly, now that I've noticed it. June Bugs are crawling on the floors, there's a cricket in my...

Rains and Puppy and Insects
The rains have made the things outside grow out of control. I walk in knee high bermuda grass and cut back bamboo with a machete to keep walkways open and I repot cacti to get them out of the rain. The Puppy Who Sorta Lives Here tears up anything and everything that she can find outside and scatters...

Garden is veritable mosquito growing lab. Unused to these rains.
My garden is actually Growing, the plants are taller, fuller, greener and happier than ever before. Flowers bloom and I must cut things back often. But, the helpful planters' water holding bottoms are full of moisture, if not actual water, and the mosquitos are having fun propagating like locusts....

This Fat Moist Desert Escapes Drought This One Year
The winter's rains have brought an exceptional Spring time to my deserts. It is now possible to count the Palo Verde and Mesquite trees from a distance. The top level of the desert canopy, if I can call it that, is either yellow flowering Palo Verde trees or gloriously green Mesquite tree tops. This...

Old Daddy Long Legs and the Earth Quaking Day
Old Daddy Long Legs lived in a plastic basket in the garden. On this one bright and sunny Spring day, while he quietly waited for dinner to be flown in, someone rocked his world. Then, they shook it and turned it upside down and beat upon it. He held on for dear life, riding out the turmoil and...
