Dragged a huge garbage can into the front garden, filled it.
I took down all Christmas lights as they were all dead from a rainstorm. I had purchased 12 boxes of lights at $.33 each after Christmas at Walgreen's, and I put them all up yesterday. Well, I spent from 5 a.m. until 6 a.m. picking up the mess out back in the
garden again. The dogs tore open a garbage bag that they pulled down from somewhere high up and then open ed a box left behind by my hosted granddaughter. Looked like it had rained debris all over the place. Baby had also dragged some dirty clothes out of the basket and had found a bottle of snow...

Just watered, raked and washed off the walkway and porches.
Filled the water containers and made it all pretty again out back. The front garden is another matter. I have to locate the reciprocating saw so that I can cut the fallen nopales and put them in the trash. Then I have to paint the remaining walls in the garden, throw away the old door as table out...

Grandma's Garden is neglected like the blog post.
I raked up all fallen bamboo debris, dog poop and teddy bear and toy guts. I re-arranged the boxes on the back porch to get them out of the rains of the last two days. A man who asked for money asked to come and help me in the garden.
My brutal schizophrenic gardener is now in a halfway house and improving steadily. This fellow walked by and asked for money, asking for work. I had money and gave him about eight dollars, and had not the time to work with him, asking him to return another day. Another day is tomorrow and I am out...

Abuelita's garden is sopping wet and surely happy about that.
Otherwise, it is neglected. Piles that were raked for disposal are now rescattered by wrestling dogs. All is wet, birds are still being fed, tho' their seeds ran out today. My newly painted little wall out front looks really pretty all wet. I paid a young fellow five dollars to add my address...

My garden looks like it stands on the edge of an Elephant Walk and

Deep watering everywhere just before leaving town.
Sprayed the aphids who attacked the poor tree which was hit by lightning and then cut down to four feet. Thirty new branches were sprouting and then aphids came to cripple the growth. I got them, not a fan of poison, but this was just too mean for that poor tree. I will fill the kiddie/doggie pool...
