(Same link as the previous post) From the very large to the very small... and then a coyote I spotted from the road at a great distance, and started a coyote jam while I extended my zoom as far as it could go, for these cheerful shots! Sign in to see full entry.
You might be expecting bears... but on the past couple of trips through Yellowstone country I saw not a single ursine inhabitant, neither black nor grizzly. Instead... Bison! Bison causing traffic jams by ambling slowly, oh so slowly, across the road, or causing drivers to pull more or less off the... Sign in to see full entry.

There is a trail from the eastern rim of the Canyon of the Yellowstone, part paved, part dirt, and then, descending to the base of the falls, a series of long metal stairs... It's a grand park on and belonging to the Navajo Nation, and I was there for a couple of days a few years ago. http://www.flickr.com/photos/therovingeye/sets/72157626716797811/ A great number of classic westerns were filmed among these landscapes. A search online for "Monument Valley Westerns" turns... Sign in to see full entry.
