My parents used to watch bullfighting on television (with Sydney Franklin, the Bullfighter from Brooklyn) so I know what you're referring to, and I can see what you mean. A fighting bull and a bison are both big blocks of meat coming at you with sharp bits, and a belligerent attitude.
I used to root for the bulls. But it rarely turned out well for them.

I did not notice the similarities between the bull and bison until the last few shots. The pine in the foreground reminded me of the "picaro's" pins and the sweat on its neck looked like blood St first in the light. Amazing animals.
