Writing, writing, writing!

Now that I have the go ahead to write some stuff for the magazine I have been doing just that............writing. I have spent a fair amount of time gathering tidbits of information for my articles. I have to do more research, but I have begun to write the two shorter articles I have been tasked... Sign in to see full entry.

The meeting went very well

My meeting with the editor of the magazine went very well yesterday. I will write two articles for the upcoming issue, but they will be small. I will have a longer article or maybe two in the issue after this one. So I am happy and excited. We will have to hammer out a few details and such, but I am... Sign in to see full entry.

Tomorrow is a big day for ol’ sarooster!

I am back in Texas right now. Tomorrow morning at 10 am I have a meeting with the editor of a local magazine to write for them. I have sent some preliminary work. I was called this morning early and they liked what they saw. So I am back in Texas for the meeting. This just might possibly be the... Sign in to see full entry.

Things are taking shape; whipping the hurricanes

At the first of the year the mounds of rubble and rubbish were strewn about our farm like giant anthills. After three weeks of working hard we are making some real progress toward cleaning the place up. This is not an easy task. We have extra help now and it’s still a big job, but it is coming... A nice weekend

It is Sunday night and the weekend is winding down. We had a nice weekend on the bayou. There is always something going on and we had some good stuff happening this weekend. I will hit the high spots briefly and then move on. My niece scored the winning goal in a soccer game yesterday. She can kick... Sign in to see full entry.

I ran over and found a grown cat huddled against the fence and the tree. My dogs were not going to attack the poor... Sign in to see full entry.

The rain was some nice!

We had a fair amount of rain yesterday. This is great and wonderful news for all in this area. It had been dry, but not like during a drought. The rain did all the plants some good and it filled up our tanks and pond that hold water. That is probably the most important thing in the mix. Water, of... Sign in to see full entry.

Some good rain this morning

We are finally getting some good rain.During the night and this morning we are getting some good steady precipitation. That is very nice. We have needed this for a long time. First of all, rain water is much better than well water or city water for the plants. We also have several large tanks and a... Sign in to see full entry.

Took a few day off from writing; played Johnny Appleseed again

I did not write over the weekend. I take some days off from all forms of writing every now and then. I rejuvenates me. Also, I have a habit of wanting to keep streaks going. And it begins to bother me every now and then. I will look back and find I have written for many consecutive days. I get... Sign in to see full entry.

The days have been so nice

We have had some nice days as of late. We have not had any real cold mornings and our afternoon temps have been in the 60’s and 70’s for the most part. This is some real nice weather for this time of year. It allows us to get a lot done on our little farm. It has not rained much, but that is fine.... Sign in to see full entry.
