Salvation – The American Heritage College Dictionary lists the definition of the word as “deliverance”. The Hebrew word is “yasha” which means “to be free”. The Greek word is “apolutrosis” which means “deliverance”. The word “deliverance” in AHCD means to “rescue from bondage” and in particular, from sin.
