I'm reading a book you might like

That is the LAST time I'm writing anything without putting it on the clipboard! I went to a link and came back and my computer was slow and it got deleted!!! So, I guess I'll shorten everything I just wrote. I am going to work in 1/2 hour. Will miss church, which I am disappointed about a bit. I'm reading a very good book by Donald Miller called, A million miles in a thousand years. I'll put a link to it. I would recommend reading the "random pages" so you can see what it's about. Writing at Starbucks

I made it through the day. I was able to get a 1 hour nap today. Finally, I had a short night at work, only 2 1/2 hours, which is good at this time. I basically only did the garbage cans, some vacuuming and the bathrooms. No more windows until it warms up. I went to a womens' Bible study this a.m. It was really good. We mainly visited, took prayer requests and prayed for people. Some of these older women I met when I was only 20, and now we are all 30 years older. They seemed old back then. Then... I'm hanging in there...

I am waiting for it to warm up a tiny bit so I can try to start our old van again. Yesterday it didn't start in the morning. Then the battery ran down after turning it over about 4 times. I walked to work, about 10-15 minutes away. It was about 15 degrees F. But, I enjoyed the walk on the way home after work. I like taking photos of railroad tracks. It's fun to stand right in the middle and take them (when you know a train isn't coming). Later on, a friend came over, went to the gas station for... Sign in to see full entry.

A long week ahead of me...

It feels like midnight to me, so I'm only going to write a short one. I did go to the spaghetti feed with the elderly lady. Only about 10 people came. They didn't advertize it well I guess. But, the spaghetti was great and I got to talk with my new writer friend. The elderly lady got to get out. I told her she was brave, as she has to use a walker and it was only about 25 degrees F. outside. In the morning, during church, my mind was wandering, so I wrote a poem. Work and rest

I just looked at the clock and can't believe how late it is! But, addicted as I am, here I am checking in to blog again. Today was a work/rest day. In the morning, Susannah, my daughter-in-law and grandson went to the bank to clean. They have a big box of toys, so we moved them into the break room (which has no cameras) where the tot could play. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
