Portfolios In the desperate hope of getting more work, I want to use my free wen space on AOL to post my current work (the stuff worth looking at) as a portfolio. So when I trawl around the job sites, I can use it as a link and put it up as a sort of CV. I have plenty of stuff available now. The Call Centre articles are huge. Adlandpro! I was looking down my index on AOL the other day, when I saw a very old entry. Now this must go back to when I first came on the net, around 98. This used to be a free classified site, where you could put up any old nonsense and hope for the best. No one took any notice, and I even forgot the password. Spring!
Spring! Spring is definitely here. Went with the family on a wonderful walk around Wakely wood. Nice since they got rid of the hippy travellers. They went out of their way to include me in the family rituals of Sunday lunch and a walk. Getting me OUT more since the death of George. I think its more than that, they want to tell me that life goes on, and it doesn’t have to be strange and twisted, as it certainly was when he was alive. $295! Did I mention that the adult review site paid me $295 for writing the reviews of their porn sites? That’s £169 in our money. Sure the sites were disgusting and an affront to feminism, but I got the money. Can it be any worse than working in a dead-end job where you hate yourself for being weak? Dr who
Dr who This Easter weekend, we have a new Dr Who series. I loved the Chris Ecclston stuff, and the new guy seems OK. Strange how time travel can capture the imagination. If we could solve anything, it should travel through time. What else would there be to solve after that? You could go back and ask Jesus, just what the hell was he thinking off! Coming round
Coming round It looks like I might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a bloody dark tunnel mind, and I’m not out of it yet. But the writing things are just coming off. There is plenty of work I’m even writing about medical matters. Reviews for drug! The concrete thing looks good, with 2 weeks to write a piece on software in the industry. Adult content! I’ve just completed a review of several adult sites. As yet I haven’t made a penny piece from it, but it looks like easy money. If it’s a scam, it’s a bloody elaborate one, but I don’t think it is. If this comes, off it will save my bacon. The battle goes on
The battle goes on The writing is coming on, but the although the stuff is getting turned out, there is no sign of any money. I’ve been doing some strange stuff for one blogg web site, but the money is so poor, it can only be a CV helper.
