Blog DescriptionAttempting to provide a different perspective on the things that we have come to accept and believe but this time around with a much mellower tone. Make no mistake however, patience with the bible lobotomized, (or those rendered dysfunctional by any holy book for that matter), is still in short supply. All I would ask anyone to consider is this; we all have a penchant to default to the notion of respecting the beliefs of others, my first response when someone tries to play that card against me is always the same . . . Thursday, June 29, 2006Where did Satan come from?I received this pearl of wisdom in comment recently: " The sad fact is that you are deluded. Satan is a very real being, and you have absolutely NO proof to show that Satan is a mere invention."... you can guess from who. What are they teaching kids these days? Actually and as a matter of fact,... Some of them becoming well known to other bloggers and enjoying some success in developing a Blogit readership, while some arrived with a whimper and sank... They are spread out across this country so it is quite often a trip to a different location each time. On her last trip a... With estimates ranging as high as 35,000 different denominations using a version of the bible as their guiding precept. There are many reasons for this, ranging from the development and... Yep, Pope Benedict decided to set us straight with his wacky version of how the world should be. I hope he won't mind if we return the favor. "Hey, popey boy, try wearing pants for a... I just don't understand why people put so much faith in Biblical prophecy. In most cases it is used in an attempt to manufacture an associative phenomena as a means of establishing the credibility of the bible. Except... A natural reaction from someone such as myself, who would like to think that every philosophy that I live by is an original thought derived from my own intellect, is to... It comes in a many forms. In this category there are two main brands of nonsense, competing brands, much... There are some Christians that will insist that all sins are considered equal in the eyes of God, yet all sins are not considered equal in the eyes of Christians. Anyone that wants to insist that all sins are viewed and treated equally... It has been entertaining, discouraging and frustrating all at once. Typically we have those who are fervent adherents to Christian religions giving us their interpretations of how and why being actively gay... Sign in to see full entry. |
