Blog DescriptionAttempting to provide a different perspective on the things that we have come to accept and believe but this time around with a much mellower tone. Make no mistake however, patience with the bible lobotomized, (or those rendered dysfunctional by any holy book for that matter), is still in short supply. All I would ask anyone to consider is this; we all have a penchant to default to the notion of respecting the beliefs of others, my first response when someone tries to play that card against me is always the same . . . "you first" |
Monday, March 27, 2006His guardian angel was napping on the jobBack when we were little brushcut numbnuts in grade 6, we had the death of one of our fellow students to contend with. A not too bright half of a pair of maternal twins named Billy. He was lost to us while doing some of the dangerous things we did routinely, in this case skipping across a... The basic theme of what he was trying to get across is that America (presumably the portion of it known as the USA) was built on... This statement should read "it's written in the bible, how could it possibly be true?" My revision of this statement is not unfair, ya see I have actually read the history of how... Fervant believers "defending their beliefs" authored the vast majority of the acidic comments and insults left as comments for others. I began saving some of the more classic... I emphasize the word theory because it is no more a theory in the true sense than I am a Chippendale dancer. What it is in reality... Not in that anyone contributed anything credible in an alleged Satan sighting but more in what efforts people were making to convince themselves that this unsavory character actually existed. Manifestations of the prince of... Nor do I particularly hold such a notion as being valid. I have said that some of the behaviour and actions as perpetrated by some believers is not too bright. That's... Invariably this notion is accompanied by statements that suggest that I couldn't possibly know what it is like to have a friend in Jesus and that my life... Not all believers are ill behaved but it is fair to say that there is no other identifyable group that contains more people that will... Having listened to much the same dribbling goop from people towards myself I can identify. We have seen some of this nonsense right here on Blogit. A recently departed religious...
