Sunday- DRESS UP!

That's right. Your 7-Up Vitamin for today is: 2. Dress Up!! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7 Sign in to see full entry.

Good News!

Please click on this link to celebrate 2007 with me. http://llerrah.com/newyearwishes.htm Happy Happy New Year's to one and all!! The news is GREAT! I had told of my latest heath concern on my Parkinson's disease (PD) site. I was awaiting results of blood tests. I am not in congestive heart failure. I had reassured someone that whatever the results, it was in God's hands, His will be done. PD attacks all muscles of the body, including the involuntary ones like the heart and lungs. I had nearly... Sign in to see full entry.

Messages from our Mothers (from the Other Side)

My mom as a 14 year old girl Sylvia Browne says that our loved ones who have already passed over come back to visit us all the time and leave us reminders all the time, like coins, turning the tv or radio off or on. My husband and I once witnessed our little kitchen tv being turned off. My sister-in-law’s mother, Frances, passed away in Topeka, Kansas just before Christmas this year. My brother and his wife settled the last of her affairs and made it back home to SE Texas in time for Christmas.... Sign in to see full entry.

Christmas At The Gas Station

W a r m C h r i s t m a s W i s h e s C hristmas A t T he G as S tation (They say angels live amongst us! See if you don't agree!) The old man sat in his gas station on a cold Christmas Eve. He hadn't been anywhere in years since his wife had passed away. It was just another day to him. He didn't hate Christmas, just couldn't find a reason to celebrate. He was sitting there looking at the snow that had been falling for the last hour and wondering what it was all about when the door opened and a... Sign in to see full entry.

J o y f u l Y u l e t i d e G r e e t i n g s Again for the record, this is not an original story, but a story shared in the Christmas Spirit. I always feel better for having read these! Love to all on Christmas eve and Christmas Day!! W orking on C hristmas D ay This angel could be a nurse; notice the blue crosses around her collar. Author: Unknown It was an unusually quiet day in the emergency room on December 25. Quiet, that is, except for those who were standing around the nurses' station,... Sign in to see full entry.

A Christmas Miracle

Get out your hankies. A Christmas Miracle author: unknown Three years ago, a little boy and his grandmother came to see Santa at the Mayfair Mall in Wisconsin. The child climbed up on his lap, holding a picture of a little girl. "Who is this"? asked Santa, smiling. "Your friend? Your sister"? "Yes, Santa," he replied. "My sister, Sarah, who is very sick," he said sadly. Santa glanced over at the grandmother who was waiting nearby, and saw her dabbing her eyes with a tissue. "She wanted to come... Adventure With Grandma

Ready to get a warm, Christmas-y feeling? You should love this story. A dventure W ith G randma written by Jack McFarland Carson City, NV I remember my first Christmas adventure with Grandma. I was just a kid. I remember tearing across town on my bike to visit her on the day my big sister dropped the bomb: "There is no Santa Claus," she jeered. "Even dummies know that!" My Grandma was not the gushy kind, never had been. I fled to her that day because I knew she would be straight with me. I knew... Sign in to see full entry.

My Christmas Wish for You

Each year I try to write a different kind of Christmas letter. This is probably the activity that got me interested in writing more seriously. I never know what will come about. I always wait for the spirit to move me and it always does -- move me. Thus I introduce the latest year's version of CeeMarie Feeling the Spirit, concluding in a special blessing to all my friends here at Blogit. CeeMarie’s (a.k.a. Carole) 2006 Annual Wrap-Up in Verse this year (based on factual discoveries of... Sign in to see full entry.

Views of the politically correct

I believe it was the intent of the original poster of this eye chart was to point out that the Old Testament's laws are very difficult to adhere to in strict interpretation. It was quite an interesting thread. I imagine someone is taking exception to Dr. Laura's quote from Lev. that says 'Homosexuality is an abomination" and then she closes the book. End of discussion. The two posters went on to point out Old Testament inconsistencies. Q- "Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of... Sign in to see full entry.

Jesus Forgives and So Can We

This is a reply to a person who said any women who slept with another woman’s husband was going to burn in hell. This was in response to an article I wrote regarding my experience in 2005. Dear ****, I used to think like you, and I was quite aloof that I, of all people, would never be involved with anyone outside my marriage. What I am about to say may sound like I'm being sanctimonious and that is not my intention at all. I suspect that you've been hurt to the core and are still hurting. You... Belief-O-Matic

I just took a quiz on my daily belief network and this was how I came out with it. No surprises here. This woman isn't sadly deluded about God talking to me in my life. HE actually kept me pretty busy all day yesterday. Here is the URL if you are interested: http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html There are about 25 questions. MY answer wasn't always available to choose but I'd find one that I wanted that was close enough. 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) 2. Neo-Pagan (93%) 3.... Sign in to see full entry.

Is God a Delusion?

I believe there is no such thing as coincidence. Things happen as they do for a reason. I already explained this extensively in my latest Relationship Blog, so I won't repeat myself. I have posted several times about "signs" that God sends us. Do we recognize one when it's presented to us, or go through life with blinders on, following the straight and narrow? Sylvia Browne said that we get one to three messages every day directly from God. If you've ever had a one-word clue repeat itself, or an... Sign in to see full entry.

Namaste

Indian Sadhu Performing Namaste Have you heard of “Namaste?” It has quite of few meanings and usages as a Hindu word. I will attempt to demonstrate what “Namaste” IS before I give one definition of it. My future son-in-law celebrated his birthday Sunday. He and my daughter are living at his parent’s house (temporarily) in a town about 20 miles from here. Since my daughter has Celiac’s disease, which means she is intolerant to gluten, I made some gluten-free carrot cake cupcakes to take to them... Sign in to see full entry.

The Lord Giveth, and the Lord Taketh Away"

"I wonder what's keeping him?" My stomach was grumbling, the dinner was salvagable, the candles would have to be blown out. It was 8:30 and he said he'd be home by 7:00. I had just talked to him, in person, that afternoon. I had created a nice, warm- feeling homecoming with candles, good food, ambience, a beautiful wife. The problem was -- the only ones home were me, six cats and two dogs. I called the studio on the off chance he was there. His cell phone had been left at home this morning. He...
