Thank you for the heartwarming comment.  This story would have made a good black and white TV episode back in the day.

CeemMarie . These are the kind of heartwarming stories I enjoy the most
Not just at Christmas, but all year round. My father and Mother were great at it. I passed the same ones down to my children, and now my grandchildren. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Faholo
I hate to bring you down but I cannot claim this story as my own.  I'm just sharing a story; the author is listed at the beginning of the story.  I wish I had such a heartwarming "pay it forward" kind of story.  I'm sure Bobby grew up to tell his children that there really WAS a Santa, though!  You're a teacher, right?   I remember having so many "Bobbies" in class.  I remember one little girl from an African nation (Fort Leavenworth has officers here at the college from over 100 countries.)  This little girl had no coat.  One teacher brought it up to the father and he waved it off, saying, "No coat necessary. She's a girl. I sell her when we go home."  The home room gifted her with a coat.  It's cold in Kansas!  So I sort of have a story that seems unbelievable in this day and age.  God sends us many of his little ones to Santa to, doesn't he?

Bless your heart , Mary!
