As we approach the elections in November . . . . .

Perhaps we should all of us, particularly those of us who are voting, plan on changing churches, at least until after the election. Call it an experiment. Churches could be designated either Republican Churches or Democratic Churches with the appropriate party supporters attending the appropriate... Sign in to see full entry.

How about a Church Divorce

from government? A church that does not form under the laws of the state, city or feds, that just forms without concern that it is not "licensed." A true expression of the god they worship would be such a separation, not imposed by anyone but the church members themselves. A church free of control,... Sign in to see full entry.

Church of the Absurd

In the Church of the Absurd, ministers and all teachers would use the absurd to teach lessons, many times illustrating the outcomes if church traditions and teachings are ot followed. Opposites taken to extremes are often very effective teaching tools. Such absurd illustrations during Sunday School... Sign in to see full entry.

Water Church

Instead of having pews, this "Water Church" would have installed a number of hot tubs, each holding 6 to 8 people. There is no better way to receive information then when you are relaxed, and a hot tub will do it divinely! Sign in to see full entry.

Underground Churches

An underground church would be much more energy efficient, warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The actual land that would otherwise have been occupied by above-ground... Changing Church

A church with a large number of interior designers and contracters could re-decorate the church once a quarter in such a way as to provide a theme for the major religious holiday within that quarter. The designers and contracters would donate their time and the use of their tools, while the rest of... Sign in to see full entry.

Spiritual Promises

How about a church than can honestly promise its parishoners that its priests will not sexually molest any of the congregants or their children; how about promising that the collection money will be spent on essential items rather than decorative or nice to have items; how about a promise that a... Church Meet . . . .

Church Meet would be set up kind of like an Antique Car Meet where people walk about, look at the antique autos and learn about each of them, asking questions of the owners. On an open filed, a large open filed, churches from various denominations and religious affiliations would set up tents so... Sign in to see full entry.
