And you are right, but either of our ideas would be fought literally to the death amongst "honest" believers in "The Word of God."  I doubt the Bible is God's word at all.

redoing the new testament would be nice too -- it's present translations are all based on medieval thought

but concerning the old testament -- it's reflective ov a viewpoint -- the validity there is seeing the viewpoint -- like guns -- or autmobiles -- it's not the item, it's the people who use it.

the bible can be just as deadly as the other two if it gets in the wrong hands and is used by the wrong mind.

a wrong mind is a beautiful thing to waste (to paraphrase a V.P. from Ohio)
