I was invited to a neighbors house for coffee the other day. Since it was morning, and coffee, I picked up some Krispy Kreme glazed donuts to take. After all who doesn't like Krispy Kreme? OK it is a rose. It is somewhere between a miniature rose and a tea rose. Still awful pretty isn't it? I've got to bring in some of the blooms before they all fade. It will bloom all summer though. I know "old hat" Well it just keeps getting worse and worse. It has become a major pain for almost everyone! So I just have to jump on the bandwagon and put in my two cents. (OK I think I am done with cliche's for today...whew!) I have read that the price of oil has gone up more than ten dollars a barrel and that several refineries were damaged by Katrina. The title has be slightly edited because if my folks can read this in heaven, and I wrote what I really wanted to, lighting would strike me or at the very least I would be gone with the wind! Anyway the wind blew so hard last night that I expected to wake up in OZ! There was branches, leaves, flower blossoms, and a lot of trash in my yard this morning! The tree out back has finally stopped pollinating. I have got most of the pollen pods cleaned out and the dog washed. Now I am sitting here looking at my newly shampooed carpet. It's dry enough to walk on, but not much. It should be completely dry in 24 hours. Bo is in the middle of the carpet on his back with all four paws in the air. OK, this time I am talking about buttons on a shirt or dress or even a pajama top. These buttons sometimes fall off. When I can find them I save them to sew back on. There is nothing worse than a blouse or PJ top with a peek-a-boo hole caused by a missing button. Now I have seen a gadget on TV that attaches buttons with just a snap! I even ordered one. It works! The only problem is, that when I need it I can never find it! I put it in my sewing basket, but it seem to have been abducted by... Sign in to see full entry.

The city is trying to pass a new animal control ordinance. Lord knows we need one. Animal control puts down more that 16,000 animals a year. That's way too many! The new law calls for mandatory spay/neuter of all pets with an exception for breeders. That's OK with me. The world doesn't need 100 little Bo's running around. They want a stricter leash law. No don't adjust the color on your monitor. The rose is dark pink. It is from a bush my dad bought at Wal-mart for 99 cents! It was supposed to be yellow! Dad's favorite color. I love the special features on the DVD version of movies. They used to hide them. Now most of them are listed on the main menu or at least the 'special features' menu. Although I did find one or two hidden on the DVD of "Chicken Little." Most older DVD's have some of the special features hidden. It was like a sort of game. I usually listen to the director's commentary. It's better if there is someone else too! Sometimes the stars, the director of photography, or even the producer comment. Now... This is what I saw as I walked down the hall to the kitchen this morning! At first I thought it was some kind of varmit. Then I realized it is where dad knocked a chunk of plaster off trying to get a chair around the corner. I had covered it up with spackle and some paint, but I suspect that last night Bo decided the spackle would make a good snack. I'll have to watch him today and make sure he is OK.
