Yes
I have been at a hot box party before. Not that box you sickos. It where you get high in a small room smoking drugs with no windows open well we were told it was an afterhours party and were looking for beer but found ourselves hot boxed and feeling funny. Stupid me thought it was cigarette smoke and when my friends brother picked us up he drove around for hours before bringing us home because we smelled so bad. What a night I couldn't stop eating.

I was amazed when I came to Canada to see people drinking beer at 1.00pm, but 9.00am is beyond belief.

Whacky......
I love this story! It reminded me of when I lived in California and moved into a new neighborhood. Since I was not yet working one of the women neighbors invited me to their weekly coffee klatch. I was told to bring a baked good as everyone does. Well I showed up with some fresh baked muffins and was introduced to the group of women. They were all so much older than I was and I felt a little uncomfortable. After they proceeded to grill me for the first half hour they then began to gossip....about the women that were in the group but were not in attendance that day. When my husband got home that night he asked me how it went. I told him that I really did not want to go back because it seems I did not have much in common with these women but I would because if I didn't they would talk about me. After a couple more times I did quit! LOL

What kind of woman "polishes off two cans of beer" at 9 AM?
I think she might be an alcoholic ... maybe you should plan an intervention.
P.S. I don't much care for Krispy Kremes either, actually.
I wish I could drink like a lady,
I can take one or two at the most.
Three and I'm under the table.
Four and I'm under the host.

Now there's a neighbor who makes me appreciate mine...
I have good neighbors...knock wood, as the house across the street is for sale...

I think they use animal fat/oil in making the donuts (probably most kinds, not just Krispy Kremes). I hate them because of the extra layer of glaze that seem to be on...well...all of them. Chocolate covered GLAZED donuts? Yuck. And beer instead of coffee? Takes all kinds, I guess. Lucky for you the phone rang when it did.

Whoa...there's a coffee date you'll want to bypass next time eh?
Beer at 9am? Ugh! And to assume you'd have one too? Very odd! I'd just wave and smile next time too!
