Lol...I HATE those sales people!!  They drive me crazy!!  I don't blame you for not buying that non-vacuum...I wouldn't have, either.  As for dust free, my carpet most certainly is not!!  Hope your allergies get better soon.  Let me know if Bo leaves his imprint in your carpet!!

Nothing will get all the dust out of the carpet, but some machines are better than others.  Google their product and find a better price or similar product.  Regular shampooing of the carpet (and the doggy) helps.  Good luck with the allergies.  We've got pollen drifting across every surface here, too.  Everything's covered in this grainy, pale-yellow dust...

Hi
Okay - how is a non-vacuum cleaner going to stop any dust going on your carpet? They're smoking their socks. Anyway, I assume you didn't really know/care about the mites before they brought them up - why worry now? (P.S. If they come back, explain to them that the reason you like having mites is because it builds up your immune system.)

bo was probably trying to rub familiar, happy smells back into the

carpeting.   when you bathe a dog, that's why they roll around afterward, trying desperately to get back to the "right" smell.

is my house dust-free?  not a chance, i live on a busy street and thanks to the pollen, these past couple of weeks have been the worst.  the scotch pines (at least, i think that's what they are) in front of my building are brutal, coating everything i own.  i try not to envision what's happening to my lungs.  certainly can't be any worse than when i smoked.  can it?  (don't tell me if it is, denial is bliss!!!)

whacky
I have a Bissell that I purchased from Wal-Mart some years back. I go over the carpet every so often, and find all kinds of junk in it. You talked about Bo writhing on his back. Pepper was doing that yesterday, after having been in boarding for three days. Boy! They stunk. I put them straight in the bath, and then had to go outside and clean the car.
