Dork

Dork was a strange tradition at my high school. Normally in the cafeteria, if someone dropped their chair - it was more of a thing than I would have expected -, students would yell out, "Dork." The Backpack Policy

he school had a policy I did not understand. During the school day, we were not allowed to have our backpacks in the library. No Sports

Name a sport and my high school had it. The school has rich baseball, basketball, lacrosse, football and soccer histories. New at the time sports to the school water polo and volleyball were forming their own rich histories. I had little interest in trying out for a sports team. I enjoyed watching... The Black Table

Something that stood out to me in the school cafeteria was the black table. Black kids had their own table at my school. When I told Dad about this, he was floored.
