Back to School

Friday marked a big day for me. I returned to my high school to watch the school soccer team play. I hadn't been to a sporting event since basketball in early March 2020. The End and the Beginning

My favorite part of the schoolyear was tied between the beginning and end of it. In the beginning, I felt reinvigorated, ready to take on the upcoming tasks ahead better than I had the prior year. Spirit Shirt Days

About once per month, my high school had school spirit days. We could wear our spirit shirts. Freshman year, all the shirts were white. The ensuing years saw the shirts color coded by grade. When I was a little kid, around three or four, I had heard son of a bitch before. Lock It Up

There was a gym class before my classmates and mine. We would be in together, them changing to leave, us changing to get out.
