R-MWC traditions, part I

One of the best things about going to a small women's college is its traditions. You will probably hear me talk ad nauseum about the traditions here, but I wanted to highlight some of the most important ones, so that you know what I'm talking about when I do babble on and on about "Pumpkin Parade this" and "Neverending Weekend" that. I'll do them in chronological order (when they take place in the academic year), and I'll divide them into several posts, to keep your attention. The overriding... Sign in to see full entry.

SG work week

I haven't written very much. At least, not much of consequence. And I'm afraid that this entry is just going to be some of the same old, same old. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Well, I'm doing it. I'm reading the sixth Harry Potter book- the one that everyone waited for with bated breath for over two years, the book that hundreds of thousands of people pre-ordered prior to its publication date on July 16th. More on relationships

I miss my internship on the Hill already. Well, I miss it and I miss living in Washington. I didn't realize that I'd miss it until I went away. That is defintely one city I want to live in and one line of work that I want to have a career in after I graduate. At 4:45 on Friday me and my coworkers got together for a beer to celebrate the end of the week, and it was fun to sit in the Boss's office and shoot the shit. Next spring I definitely drive back up to Washington to find an apartment and a... Sign in to see full entry.

Dogs

I love my dogs. My family has two Welsh Springer spaniels- kind of a cross between an English springer and a Brittany. Most are bred to be either show dogs or hunting dogs; they're kind of rare as house pets in the US. Anyways, these two dogs are named Henry and Teddy, and we love them todeath. In fact, we love them so much that we treat them as though they were human- ie, we talk to them, spend more money on them per year than most people do on a year of college, etc. Its true when they say...
