My friends

Some of my friends are already back at school, doing First Year orientation. Six days until I go back! I can't wait to see "my roommates"- not all of them really my roommates, since I've only ever lived with Anne. The roommates are my best friends at R-MWC: Anne, Amanda, Rebecca, and Anne's girlfriend Jackie. Anne is one of my best friends, and quite possibly the greatest person I've ever lived with. Its not often that you run into a friend that you can be roommates with, but Anne is it. Anne's... Sign in to see full entry.

In the news

I hardly ever watch the news. But last night I was flipping through the chanels, trying to find something decent to watch, when my eye was caught by the "disappearance" of that guy who was on his honeymoon (not very "decent," but oh, well). A very fishy story, if ever I heard one. It reminds me of a book I read recently, Skinny Dip, by Carl Hiaasen. A man throws his wife overboard, making it look like an accident. For serial bloggers

I have a question for those of you who keeps multiple blogs. Why do you do it? Like other people, I read other people's blogs as well as well as write in my own. Skinterns

The other day I was giving yet another tour of the Capitol, when something caught my eye. I don't know if you've ever been here, but there's a long tunnel that connects the House Office Buildings with the Capitol. I was coming back with my tour group, when I saw a girl, another intern, walk past giving a tour. She was what people jokingly call "skinterns-" ie, they show off way too much skin. She was wearing a very, very short black skirt, a tissue-thin sleeveless white top that bared her... Sign in to see full entry.

Moving

I haven't written in a little while- obviously. I've been busy this weekend moving out of the dorms at AU (I had to leave by noon yesterday so that students could move in for the fall 2005 semester) and into an apartment shared by friends of Jen Shiffman- and I didn't have accesss to my laptop on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In hindsight I realize I should have taken a cab over, rather than the Metro. It was disgustingly hot and humid, I had a lot of stuff with me so that I had to make two... Sign in to see full entry.
