I forgot to write a blog on Friday continuing my explits within the Alumnae Bulletin. I'm supposed to keep this journal, and a lof of activities, regularly. On Friday morning I had my first full period of work, from 10-1. Wendy came up with a list of things for me to do for the semester- or at least for the next few weeks. One of the things I have to do is write an article on two teaching awards the school gives out to professors- one went to a professor of psychology, and the other went to a... the facebook
If you're in college, or have graduated within the past two years or so, you'll be familiar with the college phenomenon thefacebook.com. I pushed the button several times; no result. I pressed the "emergency" button; no result. I hit on the elevator door a few times... Sign in to see full entry.
Instant Messenger
We can't escape it. Instant Messenger has become a fixture in the lives of millions of people. We can communicate with friends who live in China, or we can communicate with friends who live two buildings away. Sometimes I'll IM the Roommates, who do indeed live two buildings away. Its a great way to contact people because sometimes you don't feel like talking to or seeing other people. But there are drawbacks to IM as well; namely, that its a great way to procrastinate. In this post I'm talking... Sign in to see full entry.
