In history senior seminar, we had to read a book today called I'm the Teacher, You're the Student, by Patrick Allitt. Its a fast-paced read by a college professor at Emory. Personally, ther were more things that I didn't like about the book than I did like, but that's neither here nor there. Reading this book, and going to class today, made me think about myself as a student. I've always been very shy. Painfully so. I've just had four classes, with none tomorrow, so I feel justified in having something to drink. I have a pattern when I drink: after one drink I'm a ton of fun to be with: flirty, outgoing, talkative, witty, etc. After two drinks I become belligerent and start swearing at people; after three I start beating up on people twice my size; by four I'm on the floor. This post is directed more at my female readers. Have you ever been midway through your cycle and found that you're really horny all of a sudden? If you think about the biology of it all, it makes sense. Your eggs are at their prime, and your body is telling you to procreate. I found myself in that position the other day. The town my college is in is practically controlled by a man named Jerry Falwell. If you don't know who he is, he's an envangelical preacher who is extremely racist, bigotist, etc. He's the chancellor of a large, Baptist university about ten minutes down the road from us. Its a college with a lot of very strict rules regarding male-female relations: for example, there are male and female dorms, and students aren't allowed to even go near the dorms of people of the other sex.
