I have very, very good news! Yesterday evening I got an e-mail from the associate editor at Parachute. She says that the two women I interviewed with really seemed to like me, and they want to do a "round two" with me. That is, they want me to read a summary of a book and write a few short paragraphs about it--similar to a blurb on the back of a book. This looks promising, no? Sign in to see full entry.

This woman works at Barnes and Noble in a position created especially for her, and has been in publishing for many years. I've been using a career coach to help me, and she suggested that I Google her online, so I did. I learned that, in addition to working at B&N, this woman has worked in marketing at HarperCollins and in sales at Simon and Schuster. She also graduated from a women's... Sign in to see full entry.
