My Gnomes are up to No good!

Last night I woke up to a lot of whispering. It sounded like it was coming from the porch and since the house was quiet it didn't take me long to figure out what was going on. The gnomes are not happy because they overheard me saying that I would be putting them away for the long winter. I'm not... Sign in to see full entry.

It's freezing in Cleveland this evening

It feels so cold here tonight. Somewhere around 4 pm, we started shutting up the windows. I checked the weather and they said it's going to be 62 tonight. The humidity is way down and I think that's part of why we feel so cold. It's been such a hot summer with high humidity that when we have a drop... Sign in to see full entry.

September 11, is forever etched into all our minds

I had to run some errands today and quite to my surprise, I felt bad that I didn't get a chance to write before I went out the door. I'm wondering if anyone else ever feels like this? I've been trying diligently to keep up with everyone and make comments (Which by the way I love to do) It's a sad... Sign in to see full entry.

A Quiet Day on the Homefront

It's cloudy and it's been threatening rain for most of the day. We did get a few raindrops here and there but so far that's it. I read a post by Pat_B about the Pioneer women and how their job was never done. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope she writes more on the pioneers. I'm personally amazed by... Early Morning News

I was watching the weather this morning and they were reporting that our sky is hazy because of the fires in California, Washington, and Oregon. We really do have a small world and everything is connected. The fires are devastating and they showed whole neighborhoods in California that are totally... Sign in to see full entry.

Good Morning

We've made it to Thursday and all's quiet in the big city this morning. Our high is supposed to be 77 and that's a good temperature for me. It's not going to be too hot or too cold. The weatherman said that now that the nights are cooler the leaves will begin to change. I've been waiting for this... Sign in to see full entry.

The day the Tornado touched down on our house

It was July 29, 1999. I remember the day like it was yesterday. My oldest granddaughter had been born on July 19 and was just 10 days old. The weather had been very temperamental all week and it was exceptionally hot. We were running our window air conditioners around the clock. Two of the kids were... Sign in to see full entry.

Early Wednesdy Morning thoughts

As always I'm up early and wanted to wish everyone a great day. I was thinking if I stay positive and try to share some cheer then maybe it will change our world at least a little bit. These are trying times and after watching the news this morning (which I promised myself I wouldn't do) everything... Sign in to see full entry.

An evening in the City

It's a quiet evening in the city. After a holiday weekend getting up at 4 am is kind of hard. The humidity was up just like they said it would be and tomorrow is supposed to be 87 and another day with high humidity. I did turn the air on this afternoon. Our Governor had his Tuesday news update on... Sign in to see full entry.

Good Morning

It's early on Tuesday morning. It feels like a Monday because of the holiday and luckily it will be a short week. The rain has stopped thank goodness and I hope not to see another day like yesterday with the torrential downfall of rain. Originally our high today was supposed to be 87 but they've...
