That's strange to hear from a weatherman. I've never heard that one before either.

Re: Re:
Tropical Storm Elsa, the first storm to reach hurricane strength of the 2021 Atlantic season, is tracing a path up inland of and along the East Coast.
As of Wednesday, Elsa has made landfall on north Florida's western coast bringing with it sustained wind speeds of close to 65 mph. Its current maximum sustained wind speeds are closer to 40 mph as it travels through South and North Carolina.
Follow the storm’s path on the map below. It will be updated every three hours.
Today I am praying for @GovRonDeSantis, Florida officials and all the emergency workers trying to continue search efforts while facing #HurricaneElsa. Prayers also for all of Florida. #CatholicTwitter pic.twitter.com/dlA4QenavH

Re: One great thing about the little Gnomes and Fairies - even if they are
Pat, you are so right about the gnomes and fairies. They really are nice to be around. They have no political agenda and I appreciate that. We do really love the garden. I love making my sauces for winter. I freeze them and pull them out anytime I need sauce.

One great thing about the little Gnomes and Fairies - even if they are
a bit unruly at times - they take no interest whatsoever in partisan politics, and we can enjoy their way of looking at the world even more in these fractious times. I think it's wonderful that your and your family can take so much pleasure in the gardening and cooking, the seasonal treats that brighten the table.

I forgot to tell you that I also add red wine and water to the tomato paste.

Re: Re: Good morning
I sautee onions and garlic in olive oil. Then I add diced carrots, and celery and one large can of diced tomatoes. I blend half of the sauce and pour it back into the pan. I then add diced zucchini, tomato paste, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, and fresh spinach leaves. I simmer it until the zucchini is soft. I then serve it over cheese or meat ravioli with a side of cheesy garlic bread.

Good morning
We are expecting rain all week as well. My flowers and veggies are happy about it though because the sun comes out in between the showers, making for a tropical-like setting. I have never tried zucchini soup but I do make an Arrabbiata tomato sauce with vegetables that include zucchini that we serve over cheese ravioli. It is delicious. It is sort of like a Florentine or bolognese sauce. It is a great way to use zucchini and it can be frozen.
