What do dolphins do with those big, complex brains?

Our world is about fingers and thumb, and the surface of the land-- we have to work hard to escape it up, or down... and what our eyes tell us, and what to say, what words spoken and written mean... A dolphin's world is more auditory than visual, and has relatively effortless access to more dimensions, but is not at all about what hands can do, about the physical manipulation and adjustment of the environment. some ponderings on effects vs goals

Some of us design our lives after our hopes of getting into Heaven: laying up karmic points, being Good, keeping score, looking for eventual reward and salvation as the future pay-off. Life then is more about getting paid back for suffering losses and deprivations in life--as if seeing pain, injustice and frustration as an investment makes sense of the hardness of life, and makes it other than futile. It took me an hour to write this response to Kripayne...

Something in his blog and comments pushed a button... I daresay it was more important to me to say this, than needful from his perspective! I am not the source of anything but my own interpretations-- I certainly did not mean to suggest anything begins with me! What I am trying to convey is that we all have an ability to perceive a much wider spectrum of energy than is commonly believed. Failure

How do you know you are loved?

We all have our own personal criteria for deciding what's what, and what's real, especially those things that are ephemeral in nature, or non-corporeal, like emotion. Like knowing when we are loved. We rely on indirect cues and clues to be sure of something that has so many counterfeits and substitutes, that springs so easily from wishful thinking and fear-based feeling, that is identified and defined so variously. Blogit got into my dreams last night...

It was like a dream adaptation of the latest blogit soap-opera, wrapped in some of the weirdities of my own subconscious. We need not go into details of either. The gist of it was this: Sometimes, people don't fit into their social scene neatly, but live in their own worlds, disconnected from the 'normal'--which is to say, on the bell-curve of behavior, belief, and belonging, they dwell closer to the edge of the bell than the big, central dome. "It's 5:00 yesterday..."
