A Writers Nightmare

For the first time in the last thirty hours, it has stopped raining. The weather people have put out a flood warning in several local spots, and flood watches in many others. My brain has been all over the place in the last day, and I can't quite seem to get a leash on it. I decided to take the dogs up to the mighty falls. It was cold and windy, so there weren't many people there. We stood and watched for about twenty minutes, and even the dogs were impressed. I woke up this morning to let the dogs out into the 'big yard,' and it was snowing. Hard. We had an accumulation of about an inch, but the temps have risen to 45 now so it is all gone. Yippie! Sunday Morning Musings - Some Nice - Some Not So Nice

I must have been completely worn out because I slept from about 9:30 PM last night to 10 AM this morning. I don't remember moving, dreaming, noises, wind, rain or snow. I just slept. It is COLD outside! It's 29 as 5:15 PM EST. Windy too! I slept for about 14 hours and feel better. We went for a walk in the Hiawatha and along the big river, and everyone is happy. It is raining hard here right now. Add in a falling temp and a 30+ mph wind, and it is not a nice night outside!
