I spent most of my time yesterday helping out in a local 'senior' health check up clinic. I mentioned to a lady at the 'Senior Center' that I had been a medic and then an ER nurse, and she corralled me into helping them. I was going to make a quick trip to the Soo today, but we are having intermittent snow showers. I looked at the radar, and the road I would take across the state has bands of heavy snow showing. School Daze

Whew! It's cold outside! It says it is 12 or so, but it feels more like -20 with the wind out there. I did my little talk today. I was originally told that there would be roughly ~12-14 kids and two adults and we would talk for 35-45 minutes. We ended up with over 24 high school kids and seven... Sign in to see full entry.

I forgot. Today is the day that I speak to the 'young authors club' at the local high school. The teacher just called me to ask if it was 'alright' if some of the other teachers and kids who are 'somewhat interested' in writing could also set in to listen. SURE! It was -8 degrees last night, but it has finally hit +2, on its way up to 16. I just peeked at the 15 day extended forecast, and save for two or three odd man out days, the temps should stay in the low 30's for highs and low 20's for lows all the way through to March.
