Although the work is fictional . . . .

The author seems to have done a lot of research of fact to support his story. Interesting information about churches and church design, not to mention church politics through the ages, is intertwined with the most excellent story presented by author Dan Brown in his book The da Vinci Code. Ritual in Church

Ritual is important in any church service becase it gives the religion, as well as the service, structure. It helps people know what to do and when to do it. Satellite Church . . .

Some of the local churches around here have what they call "Satellite Church" on Wednesday evenings. It is a meeting of small groups in the homes of volunteer congregation members. It seems to me that the more a church is able to get participation from its congregation, the better they will absorb what the minister is offering. So many movies show people in church doing things they might do in a theater, or in a public lecture hall, but is not, to me, appropriate in Church. Fundamenatlist Churches

A Blogging Church

Church as Social Outlet . . .

Many staunch churchgoers spend almost every free moment with some church activity or meeting or sermon or fundraiser. Is this really leading a balanced life?
