I probably have upwards of one dozen old coffee cups full of pens and pencils in my home. I have them spread about the house for convenience in taking messages and keeping notes. Not one of the pens ever works when it is really needed. It must be a conspiracy. The pens and pencils made a deal with each other to fail to make any mark on the paper, especially when I am in a hurry. - I thought I had solved the problem by putting cups full of pens by every phone in the house. I'm glad I had typing class in Jr. High School, but back then it was awful!! It was only a six week course, and I dreaded each day. I would have rather gone for a root canal. - Why did I hate it so much? Because I wasn't very good at it. My fingers kept hitting the wrong keys. The teacher was a real despot. I like donuts. They are filled with fat and sugar and they have no fiber at all. Humm... maybe I should eat the paper you pick them up with. That might have fiber. Donuts aren't good for me. Hey you have to slave to get the clocks set and get to work on time! What time is it? That is a very good question. I have upwards of four clocks in every room in the house and no two of them have exactly the same time. They are all at least a few seconds off. Some are one or two minutes off. - I do have this new VCR that if I push the right button it will lock onto the local PBS signal and set the time itself. I keep hearing about people who claim that by clipping coupons they get $100 worth of groceries for $6.00. I've spent part of my Sunday afternoon looking for those coupons. The most I ever find off on anything is a dollar. Where are all the free coupons? I find myself clipping a ten cent coupon for soap. But since I don't need soap right now. I think I now know what it feel like to be punched in the stomach. Ughh! - I was on my way to Wal-mart to pick up my new glasses. I was stopped at a busy intersection. Last night I made the mistake of turning on the TV after 3 AM. Well, I couldn't sleep. One station was actually off the air...good for them. The test pattern was really the best thing I saw with its color stripes and monotone hummmm. I changed the station and there was this guy who looked like a blonde incredible hulk with a pony tail. I hate to admit it, but I have a whole drawer full of watches that don't work. They all suffer from the same ailment, dead batteries. I have two watches that work if I wind them. I wish they still made that kind of watch. - The battery run watches may be more accurate, but the battery dies, and if I don't replace the battery right away, I throw the watch in the drawer. Have you ever given someone the cold silent treatment and they didn't notice? I have, and the really funny thing is that at the end of the day this person told me how witty and intelligent had been that day. Isn't that weird? She just talked and talked and never noticed I didn't say a word. I should probably do this more often. - You know what else is weird, well sort of anyway is the fact that now I CAN'T program my VCR.
