WALKING BO!

Ok, so he thinks he is walking me. I'm not going to argue. He just loves to go ummm...I can't type the W word he is looking at me. Sometimes I think he can read my mind. - Ooofff! He just jumped into my lap..."OK OK we'll go just as soon as I finish. Yuck! Don't lick my ear!" Whew he is settling down. He has his head on my shoulder, watching my fingers as I type. - I am the only person in the world who has a furry editor with a wet nose and pointed ears. - I think he knows that this is about... NEW MEXICO CHAINSAW BEARS!

I kept seeing chainsaw sculptures for sale on an empty lot not too far from home. I was going to stop and look at them last Saturday, but it got late, and they were gone. - I figured if they weren't back on Sunday then I wasn't supposed to have one. Well they were back. So I stopped to look and at least see if they were in my price range. The little ones were. - I couldn't help but wonder why the little ones were cheaper. I would think that they would be much harder to make. After all one wrong... Sign in to see full entry.

THE ULTIMATE PI...PIE!

What is PI? Well it's 3.14159. I could fill the page trying to calculate the ultimate PI. But I won't (Do I hear a lot of relieved sighs?) - For the last few days I have been craving apple pie. You see a friend of mine was telling me about a couple of apple pies she had made. A friend of her's had given her a basket of NM apples and she had to do something with them before they went bad. - BTW do you need some apple butter she gave me three jars...I really like it on toast. - Anyway she was... MISTAKES...YES BOO BOOS!

We all make mistakes. Many of them could be avoided if we just slow down and pay attention to what we are doing. - Stupid mistakes are just that: STUPID. We just don't think and chaos ensues. Last month a mistake was made on the recipe for Tamale's that was printed on packages of Tamale mix. - They accidentally called for 4 tablespoons of salt instead of one fourth of a teaspoon. Anyone who followed the recipe on the package ended up with Tamales that would make you gag! Heck just thinking about... Sign in to see full entry.

BONES!

As I write this my dog, Bo, is flying around the house. I know it sounds like he is a bird, but he's not he's a dog. Well, he is not really flying he is running at top speed from room to room. It only seems like he is a few feet off the ground. - He'll come in here and look at me then zoom off on another flight around the house. - You might think something is wrong with him. It's not. I gave him a rawhide chew with beef jerky in the center, and this is his happy dance. He usually settles down to... Sign in to see full entry.

Superbowl, A Holiday?

It seems to me that Superbowl Sunday has almost become an national holiday. Think about it...people gather together to eat, drink, and watch TV. Sounds like a holiday to me. - Also like most other holidays you can't avoid it. Everywhere you look people are talking about the Superbowl. It's on TV, on radio, in the newspaper. You can't drive down any street without seeing a multitude of signs about where to watch it what to eat during it and how to celebrate after. - Even if you live in a cave,... Ahhh! The Academy Awards

I haven't seen many of the nominated films this year. As a matter of fact there is only one of them I am sure I will see when it comes out on DVD. - That would be "Capote." I have always liked Truman Capote. I guess that is partly because I hard him speak at the university, when I was in high school. He was quite charming and witty. - He spoke for over an hour. First he told us about his writing...things like where he got his inspiration and what he had been working on. He said he got his best... Sign in to see full entry.

HellllP! A dilemma!

"I see dead people." was sort of a catch phase from a movie. it was also a key plot point. You know the movie was "The sixth Sense." It was very popular for its big or little surprise ending. Depends on how you look at it. - It the kinda thing that makes you wanna slap your forehead and say...:"I shoulda known that!" - What's my dilemma? Well I have a friend who hasn't seen the movie. (Yes there are some people who haven't) and she wants to know what the big secret is. - Now I know if I tell her... Sign in to see full entry.
