Some supermarket staff key in the discounted price even without collecting the coupons.

I used to be a coupon clipper, and if you do it religiously you CAN save a wad of money at the grocery store. There's a sense of getting away with something when you check out at the grocery with a shopping cart full of items and only pay 30 dollars for it. BUT, there's an investment of time that goes along with it. After awhile, I find my time is way more valuable than the money saved.

I hear you.  I found I can save a nice amount if I am religious about coupons but 90% of the time it's for stuff or brands I don't use or something I can get in an off brand that is still cheaper!

No...I don't need to know what dog food tastes like, thanks. I clip the coupons sometimes, but I draw the line at anything under 50 cents. The rest of them always expire before I can use them.
