Challenge for Barbra Streisand...

Since Ms. Streisand seems to think she knows so much, I have a real challenge for her. Ms. Streisand, why don't you come down to the real world and live here for about two years without your money and security and power and we'll see how quickly your perspective changes? Ms. Streisand has lived in a nice pampered world for 40 years and she has no clue about the real world. Maybe if she lived in my neighborhood for a couple of years, she'd find that all of those lofty ideas and views she has cost... Sign in to see full entry.

Homosexual Agenda Demanding More...

The recent New Jersey ruling regarding same-sex marriage is just the beginning and the Democratic party has stated that they will assist the gay organizations in their efforts to attempt to force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle as normal. Of course, the recent ruling has also fired up the opposition to stand up against this. People who believe in family values and in marriage as a union between a man and a woman are gearing up to vote in the coming election and vote out the liberals who... Sign in to see full entry.

Missouri Stem Cell Initiative is a Myth

Buyers Beware! Missouri and a few other states have supposed stem cell initiatives on the ballot and it turns out that Missouri's initiative isn't even really about stem cell research. It's about cloning people. Wisconsin has seen a boost in interest of its initiative because of Michael J. Fox but we don't know how accurate that ad is either since people aren't sure if Michael J. Fox was taking his medicine or not in order to gain sympathy. Don't get me wrong, I like Michael J. Fox as an actor... Sign in to see full entry.

Terribly sad...

I have long been a fan of Barbra Streisand and thoroughly enjoy her singing. At one time, I would have been thrilled to attend a concert to listen to her sing but given her recent behavior at the concert she gave at Madison Square Gardens, I would have to say that I'm no longer interested in seeing her in concert. For some reason, she feels that being an entertainer means that she's supposed to shove her political views down our throats and when we don't like it, she becomes ugly. Evidently,... COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUS!!!

The gay activists are going too far! I'm all for people treating others fairly and not discriminating against someone for their personal lifestyles but I am firmly against one small group of people telling the rest of us how we are going to accept them or else! There was an article in the Star Tribune of Minneapolis (I've included the link: http://www.startribune.com/191/story/737084.html) that explains how a gay teacher is pushing his lifestyle on his students and when the parents complained,... Hollywood or Bust?

Why is it that so many people in the entertainment business think that their lives are so much more important than the rest of us? I just finished watching something about a local celebrity in a small town trying to "make it" into the big time and in the process of being a "celebrity," cost another man his life. Now, mind you, this was a TV show and was fiction but I've seen it happen over and over again from O.J. Simpson on down. For some reason, many people in the entertainment field seem to... Necessity: The key to invention

I learned this in an unusual way this evening. I have a job interview in the morning and my pants were a bit wrinkled and my iron is packed away so I decided to hang the pants up in the bathroom and run the hot water in the shower for a few minutes. When I could see that it was working but slowly, I decided to create my own steam iron of sorts. I used the spray bottle that I use to discipline my cats and spritzed the pants lightly with water and then used my hair dryer to dry them. I realize... Sign in to see full entry.

Illegals Not a Threat to our Country?

For those of you who believe that, you are kidding yourself! I received the following petition in email today that really hit close to home. Read this and then I will comment. Email Petition: This is just plain wrong. Our granddaughter in California was turned down for a teaching job, because she only had one yr. of Spanish. She got a job at a private school. She now teaches in Rancho Cucamonga, second grade. Had an interesting conversation with a lady of Hispanic origin last week. She told me... Sign in to see full entry.

Don't misunderstand me...

I have nothing against someone who chooses to be homosexual. What I have a problem with is being told that I'm supposed to accept that what they are doing is alright when I believe what they are doing is wrong. And, I have no intention of changing that stand. I have known several homosexuals on a personal basis, I like several people that choose that lifestyle. I do try to be considerate of their feelings but I won't change my beliefs to make them happy. I also think that would be absurd for... Sign in to see full entry.

Wal-Mart says...

It is supporting the National Gay and Lesbian center just like it supports other minorities. I find it absurd that they should give preferential treatment to someone simply because they choose to have sex with another of their own sex. Are they going to give preferential treatment to heterosexuals for choosing the opposite sex? I find it ludicrous to give special treatment to people who are trying to force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle. And, they aren't satisfied with just having us... Sign in to see full entry.

Freedom in Danger!

If you don't agree with the homosexual agenda, be aware that they will be after your job! A police psychologist who never did anything to harm the gay police personnel on the force has been fired simply because he was at one time on a Christian based board of directors. All of this was done by one openly gay member of the police force. As the Family Research Council stated, the homosexual community isn't just interested in tolerance and acceptance of their way of life, they want to force the... Sign in to see full entry.

What's Happened to Customer Service?

Lately, I've begun to think that most people in customer service have no clue what customer service is. What's really amazing is that they can't even seem to read. I can't even count the number of times that I've emailed a company's customer service department about something only to receive back a canned or pre-created message that doesn't address the issue I wrote to them about. It may be somewhat related but it isn't an answer to my question. Let me give you an example. Recently, I joined... Sign in to see full entry.

Change of Pace

Okay, how many of you have funny pet tales and pictures? Well, I need them! If I haven't told you before, I'm starting an organization called Patches' Pet Tales. It's being created to help low income families with pets and rescue animals get medical assistance. A lot of people out there love their animals but happen to be struggling financially, which means they can't always get medical help/care for their pets. Surgeries, medication and even simple flea treatments cost big bucks and often can't... Sign in to see full entry.

World Peace? Ha!

I find it completely ludicrous that so many people talk about having world peace when most of the adults that I know can't even resolve simple arguments in their day to day lives. Recently, I made plans to go to the latest "Pirates of the Carribbean" film with two of my co-workers. Three days before we were to attend a reserved seat performance, the other two got in a spat and refuse to speak to one another. I'm not altogether sure what the argument was about and I really don't want to be put in... Sign in to see full entry.

What Mistyped emails can do...

This was sent to me via email from a friend and I thought it would give everyone a good laugh. Be careful of mistyped email addresses! This was in our neighborhood's monthly newsletter: A lesson learned from typing the wrong email address: A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. Because of their hectic schedules, the husband flew to Florida on Friday, and his wife was flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel and, unlike... Sign in to see full entry.

Poem About Illegals

The following poem was sent to me and it is pretty funny. The pictures that came with it make it even better but I don't know how to insert them in here so I'm just including the poem. POEM - Illegal Immigrants I cross ocean, poor and broke, Take bus, see employment folk Nice man treat me good in there, Say I need go see Welfare. Welfare say, "You come no more, We send cash right to your door." Welfare checks, they make you wealthy, Medicaid it keep you healthy! By and by, Got plenty... Sign in to see full entry.

Perspective...

I'm beginning to understand why some people are so sympathetic to the illegal immigrants. It's an employee mentality. My sister and I were talking a couple of days ago and we both had this simple understanding. Both of us are entrepreneurs and so is my Dad. However, my Mom and my other sister and brother do not have that same mentality. Being an entrepreneur is something inbred in one. It's a totally different mindset than being an employee and thinking as an employee. I've worked for people off... Sign in to see full entry.

I think it's interesting...

That so many people are so critical of George Bush and his decisions when they have no clue as to what his options are and have no idea what it's like to be in the toughest job in the world. After all, he's got all of the citizens of the U.S., the illegals and all of the other countries around the world as his critics. And, not one of them has ever stood in his shoes. One thing I've learned about politics over the years is that seldom do the politicians in the higher positions get to actually do... Sign in to see full entry.
