One of the main things I have noticed right here on blogit is that those who are so gung-ho for peace are those writing nasty things about othere political factions. They are the ones who write nasty things on your comments page or write contradictory post in an attempt to show you are a hate monger or something. You are right people can't even be civil yet they cry peace, peace. I think they really want peace...they want you to be peaceful and agreeable to whatever.

I like what the Bible says about such things.
If a person offends you, go to that person immediately and gently confront. If a peaceful solution is unsuccessful, then take a few trusted people (in this context it was church leaders) to discuss the problem with the offender. The next step again, pertaining to churches, was to kick the person out of church for a time until he could hopefully realize his offense.
We're not very good at confronting the problem, are we? We just gripe ad nauseum behind peoples' backs, slaughter their character by talking about them and the problem to everyone else, and then when there is a confrontation it's a knock down drag out fight.
I guess we're slow to learn.

We share the same thoughts....we have so many broken families and the Jerry Springer freak show type madness going on....it is embarrassing to say that we know anything about "peace".....but in a dream world.....it would be nice.

I loved the suggestion by one here that all the terrorist and countries set down at a luncheon........ROTFL....
They wouldn't even be able to agree on the menu....seating arrangements......let alone afree on a solution to world problems.......
They need to stay in their little lala land...........

How very true. World problems are like personal problems, just on a much bigger scale and with nuclear weapons.
