Planned Parenthood's Dirty Little Secret...

How many of you are aware that the founder of Planned Parenthood was a racist and deliberately set out to wipe out as much of the African American population as possible by enlisting one of the African American leaders into convincing young black women to abort their babies? Of course, she didn't tell the African American leaders what she was after but there are actually people out there who make donations to Planned Parenthood to specifically apply the funds to encourage abortions among certain... If The Kennedys Managed Their Own Money...

The way they do the country's, they'd be broke! Has anyone ever thought about how the Kennedys' politics is nothing like their lifestyle and how they can afford to be so gracious in suggesting all of the spending that Ted Kennedy and his Democratic cronies do? In fact, for all of the talk of how the Democratic leaders do about how they understand the plight of the poor and middle class, how could they? They aren't poor or middle class. Many of them have never been poor or middle class and those... Sign in to see full entry.

Recession or Responsible Financial Management?

Which do you want? Right now our nation is in a crucial financial crunch that could easily wipe out a lot of people and put them into poverty. We got in this position from several poor choices by this country's hang up on living on credit and by our political leaders who have chosen to vote according to their party's desires or for special interests instead of for the good of this country and now we are all paying for it. Between spending money our country doesn't have especially on all of the... Sign in to see full entry.

How Tacky!

The casino group trying to get these measures passed to approve the deal Governor Schwarzenegger made with them has a commercial out comparing the fires of California to Hurricane Katrina. What a crock! I don't mean to minimize the devastation of the fires but Katrina virtually wiped out cities across three states and it cut off roads to get to people to get them help. I really resent the media for criticizing the governement and others because they weren't able to get to the area in southern... Sign in to see full entry.

I need sane people, please...

I am living in the middle of a bunch of lunatics! Please tell me that there are still sane people out there who don't do drugs and don't use a hot plate as a heater and who think about someone besides themselves all the time. Yesterday, while I was working at the motel where I live as well, I had to deal with paramedics who came to take a woman who'd overdosed on crack. Then, the guy down the hall who is deaf, mute, weighs about 400 pounds and has a pacemaker wants to know where the guy from 110... Sign in to see full entry.

Verizon Steals From Employees

Recently, my neighbor was fired from her job with Verizon as a telemarketer. She was too sick to go to work and didn't have the money to even get bus fare to go to a free clinic to get a doctor's excuse and was too embarrassed to ask me for it. She got sick because Verizon has been working her 10 hours a day, six days a week and not paying her overtime, which is illegal. When she filed for Unemployment, Verizon lied and so her claim has been denied and she has no way to pay the rent and is now... Sign in to see full entry.

Indian Gaming...Is It Really So Innocent?

For the last several years, voters in California have voted against expanding Indian gaming run by questionable people at best. The voters have come against this because some of us can see that there is a larger picture than simply the money that would come into our state's government. A couple of years ago, we voted in Arnold Schwarzenegger because he said he wouldn't be influenced and won over by the politicians but he has now signed a document that is now up for ratification by the voters... Finally, A Candidate I Can Vote For

As some of you have read in previous postings a while back, I was really struggling with who I could support in the Presidential race because I really wasn't happy with any of them. But that has now changed. Recently, Mike Huckabee entered the race and after listening to him and checking out his stands on various topics, I'm finally comfortable with a candidate. And, you can be sure that I will be praying hard and fast for him to win in New Hampshire, etc. Right now he is behind in New Hampshire... Sign in to see full entry.

Resolutions...Do You Make Them?

I've never been one for making New Year's resolutions because I don't like to make commitments I'm not sure I can keep. The way I see it is that there are enough things in life to set us up to fail so why should I set myself up. Now, that doesn't mean I don't set goals for myself and work toward them. I just don't make a bunch of resolutions simply because it's a new year. However, this year I've made somewhat of an exception. I actually made a resolution. But this is a resolution I look forward... Sign in to see full entry.

Blockbuster Scam...Beware

Just thought I'd warn all of you out there that if you find a coupon on the internet for a free rental at Blockbuster Video, it is likely a scam. I fell for it hook, line and sinker because it looked authentic. I took the coupon to Blockbuster and was told that it isn't a real coupon. The ones you get from Blockbuster if you are in their database and on their email list are real for a $1.99 rental but the ones that offer two free rentals along with coke and popcorn is a scam. Of course, if I... Sign in to see full entry.

What An Amazing Year...

I'm back again and, hopefully, for good this time. I finally have a stable job so I should be able to stay on from now on. I do want to thank everyone who has continued to read my various postings even though I haven't posted anything new for a couple of months. You helped pay for some groceries and it was most appreciated. I have had such an amazing year that I just have to share a few things with you. This is especially for those of you who have been going through a rough time financially... Sign in to see full entry.

Does Anyone Know About...

Senator Brownback? I received an email today about his campaign. I've never heard of him but what he states that he backs sounds like he could be the right candidate for me. The problem is that he isn't well known as far as I'm aware and that would mean that it would be hard for him to get elected. Someone made a comment about Mitt Romney and Mormons being honest on one of my other posts. I think Mormons are like anyone else - honesty is a personal thing and whether or not Mitt Romney is honest... Sign in to see full entry.

My Cowboys Rule!

I don't know how many of you are football fans or who watched the Cowboys and Bears play last night but I'm one happy camper today. This is the first year in the past few years that I've been able to really focus on and enjoy football but I've got my prayers behind the Cowboys. Last night I had fallen asleep and forgotten about the game until the second quarter. When I woke up, the score was 3 - 0 in favor of Chicago. I began praying for Dallas immediately and within a few moments, the score was... Sign in to see full entry.

Who To Vote For?

Are you as baffled as I am by the lack of credible candidates for President for next year? Not only am I not overly excited about the current candidates but I'm not sure who would be a good candidate. I definitely don't want Hillary in office. I'm not opposed to a woman as President but I don't want Hillary in there. I don't trust her and I think that, just like her husband, she lies and she blames other people for her own shortcomings and she's more interested in her political career than the... Think For Yourself, Please...

When it comes to politics and government, too many people these days allow celebrities and sports heroes persuade them in how they vote or think. Get real. Most of these people who are famous don't have any clue about the real world. People like Barbra Streisand and Susan Sarandon, while wonderful entertainers, haven't got the first clue about reality. Both of these women made it big in the entertainment business when they were 19 years old and have had continued financial success since that... Sign in to see full entry.

Oprah backing Obama?

I'm trying to figure this out. I thought Oprah was smarter than this. I mean is she backing him because he's black or does she actually believe all of these idealistic promises he's making that he can't possibly keep? From what I've heard come out of this man's mouth is a lot of arrogant, naive assertions that no one can fulfill. He's promised to turn around Washington. Get real! No one is going to turn around Washington as long as the people in it don't want to be changed and most of them don't... Sign in to see full entry.

Hi Everyone! I'm back!

I've been away for a while due to circumstances beyond my control but I sure have missed all of you and I'm definitely glad to be back. I've been writing a bit on myLot but it's just not the same. It's really limiting and there are way too many rules and regulations. You don't pay a fee but the earnings are minimal and the intelligent discussions are few and far between. I missed this so much but I have been dealing with serious financial issues and have just broken free of them thanks to God... Sign in to see full entry.

Who Does Nancy Pelosi Think She Is?

I'm sure you've heard about the subpoenas Congress has issued regarding the firing of the Federal Prosecutors. Well, they are overstepping their bounds because the President has a right by way of the Constitution that gives him the right to fire those prosecutors for no reason whatsoever. When President Clinton was in office, he fired 93 Federal Prosecutors and no one said anything about it. But because President Bush used his presidential authority to do the same with a handful of prosecutors,... Sign in to see full entry.

HR 254: Based on a Lie!

Why am I not surprised? It turns out that the basis of HR 254 was the alleged beating death of an elderly homosexual man. Well, it turns out that the man wasn't beaten at all and that he died of natural causes. So much for the hate crime. I'm all for prosecuting anyone who harms another person for whatever reason but we already have plenty of laws on the books for those crimes. All we need to do is enforce them. The problem is that the homosexual activists want special rights and laws to do what... Sign in to see full entry.
