Sorry for misspelling racist...

It was just a simple mistake but I do want to say that I have nothing against the Latino people. I have friends who are Latino. In fact, those friends are just as upset about the illegal situation as I am. They worked hard to come here and make a life for themselves and I don't have any problem with someone doing that no matter what their race is. Blanche said that the illegals are already here so it's unrealistic to send them back. That may be so but the part about them contributing to Social... Sign in to see full entry.

This might get a chuckle...

I have my resumé on Craigslist right now to find a job. Well, a couple of weeks ago I received an email from a man telling me about a position with the Farm Workers Union. I politely told him that I didn't think I'd be comfortable with that since I believe illegals should be deported and they are trying to help illegals get amnesty. He wrote back and said that I was right that I wouldn't be comfortable and then proceeded to call me a rascist. That made me angry! I wrote back and in big, bold... Sign in to see full entry.

For a change of pace...

I've started a new blog in the business section about building my business and what it's like to live "A Life in Business." I'm trying to be as honest as I know how to be about building a business. I'm in the process of building my third business. I'm determined to make this one a long term success and I'm sharing my experiences not only for your benefit but also to help me focus and hopefully get ideas and suggestions from my readers. I'm not planning the blog out. I'm just talking from the top... Sign in to see full entry.

Did you ever do or say something really stupid?

Of course you have! We all have! I did a few minutes ago and I totally regret it but there's no way to fix it now but I sure wish that I could take it back. I was just in a really annoyed mood at the time and this woman sent me a spam email and it just hit me at the wrong time. Nevertheless, I should have waited to say something until I was in a kinder mood because I think I probably hurt this woman's feelings. She sent me an email that had such terrible grammar and I offered to write an ad for... Sign in to see full entry.

A Broken Toilet Seat?

Okay, this is funny... Today, when I was working at the hotel, this woman tells me that she's broken the toilet seat. The first image that comes to mind is that the screws holding it on the toilet have come loose or the seat itself has somehow cracked. Since she has a little boy, I could imagine the child playing and jumping on the seat and breaking it. Well, I sent the maintenance guy up to the room and when he came down, he brings the toilet seat to show me what was broken. Well, I never would... Sign in to see full entry.

Thanks, Guys

For reading my blog. I just reached the 400 mark. That means that 400 people have read my blog. Now, I'm shooting for 500 and then the moon. I just thought I'd be a little silly today. It's Sunday, we can all use a little silliness in our lives, right? Sign in to see full entry.

Encounter with Angels!

I promised in my last post to tell you about an experience I had with angels, so I'll relate one of those experiences here. One evening when I was living in a different, more conservative part of town, I decided that I was in the mood for Tacos and there was a Taco Bell within walking distance of where I lived but it was still about a half mile and there was a stretch of street that was sort of dark. I had planned to take the bus down but the next bus wasn't due for 20 minutes and it was rather... Sign in to see full entry.

Do you really believe in ghosts?

No, I never see any ghosts! I think we have enough challenges in this place without hauntings to go with them. I think the ghosts would be more afraid of the people living here. On a serious side, we have a desk clerk who was showing a room one day and the man she was showing it to beat her up severely. He is in jail in another state now but she is now too afraid to come up into the hotel. She will not show any rooms anymore and will only go from the office straight to her car now. I feel... Interesting evening here in L.A.

I live in a residential hotel and this afternoon the maid found my neighbor upstairs dead in his bed. The police came this afternoon and determined it was natural causes, which I'm not surprised by. He had a bad liver from years of alcohol abuse but he was a very sweet man and I'll miss him. The only reason I found out about it was because there was so much noise upstairs that I called the front desk to tell the guys to be quiet. That's when the desk clerk explained that they'd found the guy... Sign in to see full entry.

On the lighter side...

Okay, let's clear up the misunderstanding...

I AM NOT JUDGING ANYONE!!! I'm only stating what the Bible states! I didn't write it, God did! If you have a problem with it, take it up with Him. However, God doesn't change and your opinion is of no consequence to Him. He's going to judge you by the laws He set down not by your decision to believe something else. If you are in favor of homosexuality or abortion, you are in direct conflict with God. I'm simply stating what God has already said in His Word and I'm not backing off of that stand.... Why are the issues of homosexuality and abortion important to me?

One of the comments I received asked why these issues are more important to me than the Iraq war, the economy, etc. Okay, I'll tell you why. First of all, the Iraq war is quite important to me but I have a different perspective on it. I don't look at things as just how they affect the here and now. I look at things from an eternal perspective which is how God looks at things. The economy is always changing and no specific government leader has that much say or affect on the economy. The Federal... Sign in to see full entry.

Marriage Wins!

The kind between a man and a woman, that is. At least in seven of the eight states where they voted on it. Unfortunately, Arizona decided differently but that may just spur other states to pass amendments banning gay marriage, so it might be worth it. The saddest defeat was regarding unborn children. Unfortunately, those who are in favor of killing unborn children won. Too bad the Christian community doesn't feel as strongly about abortion as they do homosexuality. For some reason, they don't... Why don't they give us information on the judges?

When I went to vote, I thought it was terribly unfair to find a list of potential Judges I was supposed to vote for and I hadn't heard anything about any of them prior to walking into the polling booth. There was nothing about any of them in the voter guide or in any of the materials the party mailed out and nothing about any of them on the TV ads. I found it extremely frustrating to find a bunch of names listed that I'd never heard of and was supposed to vote for. Maybe people don't realize... Sign in to see full entry.

Even more reason for Christians to vote...

The confession made by Rev. Ted Haggard is just another reason for the Christian community to be at the polls on Tuesday. The homosexual community is expecting the recent revelation by Ted Haggard to embarrass the Christian community so badly that they won't stand up for what's right at the polls but this is even more of a reason for us to be there. We cannot allow people who live perverted lives to set the standards for this nation. It is up to us to stand up for what we believe. If we don't... Sign in to see full entry.

Two Days and Counting...

I wouldn't want to be in the place of any of the candidates right now. Can you imagine the sleepless nights most of them are going through these days knowing how important this election is to both sides? I bet the acid relief companies are enjoying a significant splurge in business, though. Just a little stomach humor there. Today, when I was working at the front desk of the residential hotel I live in, two campaigners for the Democrat party came and wanted to put flyers on all the doors. I said... Does Anyone Really Buy John Kerry's "Apology"?

I've heard John Kerry's statement that caused such a ruckus and I've read the supposed apology he made. There was no room for misinterpretation in what he said. Does he think we are all stupid or something? Or, maybe he thinks that the majority of the country isn't educated enough to understand what he said. Well, I have a clue for Mr. Kerry. I've had a wonderful education at some of the finest schools in the country. Of course, maybe it wouldn't meet up to Mr. Kerry's standards but since the... Sign in to see full entry.

Update on "How Far Will They Go?"

Well, according to the Denver Post, the man who is accusing the Rev. Haggard failed his polygraph test. And, he says that he found out who his supposed "john" really is six months ago. Okay, if he knew who he was six months ago and he knew that the pastor was speaking out against gay marriage and he was so upset about it, why did it take him until a week before the Colorado election regarding gay marriage to speak up? Anyone with half a brain can tell you why. He is hoping to squelch the... Sign in to see full entry.

How Obvious Can They Get?!!!

How far will the gay community go to get what they want? Now, they are accusing someone who comes out against them of having paid homosexual relations. This is absurd! And, the fact that it's coming out just after the New Jersey ruling which spurred the pro-marriage people to take action at the polls. How coincidental is that? Basically, this is just a way to get people who are against gay marriage to stay home. They think that this allegation is going to embarrass the Christian church into... Sign in to see full entry.

Madonna: A Contradiction in Humanity?

Or simply a Comedy of Errors? One minute she's causing controversy by mocking the crucifixion of the Son of God and the next week she's causing a stir by adopting a child from another country. Admittedly, there are times I like Madonna and there are other times I'd like to shake some sense into her. She strikes me as being like a child testing the limits of her parents trying to see how far she has to go before they'll cast her out. Only the parent she's testing is God. She seems to have a lot... Sign in to see full entry.
