Bah, humbug!
I've grown to dislike this time of year enormously. When I was a child, my mom went all-out when it came to decorating the house. We always had at least a small tree, and there were always lights, the candy cane on the door, and other Christmas touches. I became a cross between Scrooge and the Grinch when I got married. My husband's family - particularly his aunt (his mother's sister) - always handed us what amounted to a shopping list, and hated the idea of not having a Norman Rockwell-style...
