My current problem lies in trying to get my husband to see that this significant problem exists. He has experienced equivalent problems of his own (remind me to tell you, once I get permission, of some of those problems). When I try to point out these gender-based problems to him - that we women, particularly those of us playing a more traditional role, are pressured by implication to behave in a certain fashion - the discussion invariably degenerates into a discussion equivalent to the old... This is something I feel frustrated about, and I'd appreciate thoughtful comments. Over the past few days, in writing some of the documents I've mentioned in earlier posts (the ones I want to email to someone), I've unintentionally reopened some old wounds.
