I've been mulling over whether or not to post this information, and since you're reading this, that means that I've decided to go ahead and do it. I pay my Blogit subscription on an annual (rather than a monthly) basis. Because I converted from paying by credit/debit card to paying by check/money order (sent via snail mail), I'm pretty much forced to pay Blogit no more frequently than every three months. Occasionally, I visit a website called Fascinating Womanhood, named after the book written by Helen Andelin. The basic thesis of both the book, as I understand that thesis, is that men and women, beyond the obvious physical differences between the sexes, perform different functions. Those functions break down along what modern Americans might understand to be traditional functions. My daughter applied for something called general assistance, available through our township (as opposed to our state public-aid department). I feel it's good news that she was turned down, as she is now able to do some writing here on Blogit and earn some money toward the family coffers. I've stated in comments, accurately, that I am a fiscal conservative. I feel that in circumstances like mine, sound financial planning can preclude the need for asking for assistance.
