On My Wedding Eve.
Sunset washing the horizon in the color tones of fall The fiery ball drops silently and without a splash into the sea A green blue never ending rippled scape quickly turning black I gaze longingly across your depth your oily impenetrableness towards a ship that never leaves that never takes me home....

A garden of love
My patience has been rewarded. Last year when we were blogit friends, Wiley planted a rose bush for me because he discovered that they are my favorite flowers. Interflora is so expensive and anyway I lacked a permanent home by then. You may or may not remember. Doesn't matter, we look towards the...

He sleeps
I never enjoyed the sounds of snoring before. It has always been more than an annoyance to me. The tossing and turning, the sighing, the pushing and kicking. Head over the pillow, but the noisy grunts and puffs still penetrate. Feeling sorry for ones self singing softly, loudly, a jab or a punch,...

I'm sorry blogit family, I should have given you our news
Everything has been going very well with us both since Wiley came out from his last hospital stay. The report was very good and that gave us room to relax. I guess we just relaxed together completely, letting the summer days laze away. I have been out in the garden and Wiley hopped onto his ride on...

Wiley spent the night back in hospital
He wasn't looking very well yesterday and suffered short ness of breath and some pain. His lips were blue so we drove to the hospital. They kept him in over night, did tests on him and he's fine. It was more anxiety than anything. The Urology problem is still unresolved and I'm guessing that is...

Father's day and I hope all the guys had a nice day.
For all those interested in useless trivial information; in Australia we celebrate Father's day in September. When I was a kid poor old Dad didn't get much recognition for his day. A pair of socks, a card and a kiss on the cheek. I think he probably enjoyed the kisses from his little girls the most....

Watching the farmers work
We are surrounded by farms here on Wiley's acres. While we create a gentle sanctuary for birds and animals the farmers are seriously toiling to gain every last profitable summer cropping from the earth. Hay and grain for their stock, to see them through the winter when they have to live mainly in a...

The sin of Greed, word from Australia
Does it ever stop? Wiley and I enjoyed our gentle day yesterday together. He was very tired at times and a couple of twinges of Angina but we were slow and steady over lunch and then back home to rest. In the evening the chipmunks made us laugh and a big Jack rabbit came for a visit. Evidently all...

Free to live and to love.
Seven months! that's how long Wiley and I have been together now and I am feeling as free as Chippy Charlie who lives in the garden. Today we'll go and share a quiet little lunch at our favourite haunt to celebrate. Nothing strenuous or to tire Wiley too much. It's good to get out on occassion as we...

A luncheon date at home.
Today has been just gorgeous. Warm but not hot, a breeze blowing but not a wind. No, just teasy enough to keep the monster mosquitoes at bay. We are both tired and strung out so rather than leave our safe haven we ate healthy food siting on the deck. The garden is pretty, a sight to gladden the...
