I never had a dress made from a flour sack.  I'm not sure about my mom because she grew up on a farm and they definitely put everything to multiple uses including the sears catalog!

mother used to tell us how lucky that she could buy material to make dresses for us cos others had to use the flour sack. Loved this.

Lovely Justi, I once saw a little girl wearing a Hessian sack, but it did not look like a dress. Times when nothing was wasted, good blog.
