Missing from Blogit

Nobel Prize winner - Dorris Lessing

I love Dorris Lessing. I discovered Lessing in my late teens, as a student in Calcutta, India. I was mesmerized by her writing - her frankness, descriptions, boldness and courage. A change of season

A Creative Sunday

An evening of ghazals

Last evening I sat under the stars, listening to my favorite music. It was the centenary celebration of Begum Akhtar, one of the finest ghazal singers in India. Off the the beach

I started this blog in mid-March 2006 when I moved to Kabul, Afghanistan, for a four-month assignment. In mid-July I moved back to India, and am continuing the blog.
