Yes!
I like Doris Lessing.  The books that I remember are Fifth Child and The Good Terrorist I am going to get Cleft now!  I will be looking for your pictures.  I have been to Daradoon and Missouri before, when I was thirteen with my family.  It was a beautiful!

Yes, she kind of dropped out for a while.  I guess when you are in your 80s you are entitled to, after you have led such a rich life.

I think you'd enjoy her books.  I am almost done with the Clefts and will let you all know how it is.

Heard of her. Looked her up. She's rather prolific...

I haven't read her work but I did see the news that she had won the Nobel.
Let us know who you like the book.

I was really into her when I was at uni particularly when she branched into sci-fi (of all things) in the Canopus on Argus series. I've also read Love Again a couple of times. Actually I really loved her initial almost grumpy reaction to hearing the news she'd won the Nobel Prize. Such fun.

I discovered her works when I was about 20 (the "Golden Notebook" series I think???) and thought they were fascinating, but it's a long time since I read any of her books.  Look forward to hearing more about The Clefts.  It sounds very interesting!

Greenfields, I have never read her works but....
you make it sound like I would love to give it a try.  I have made note of the name.
