My son is home

Day before yesterday, Kabir, who left for college in August came home for his Christmas break. I am delighted. Paint, varnish and disorientation

We decided to get the house painted. Since a week, there have been three men in the house - cleaning, scraping, painting and fixing. It's a huge affair. A trip to Old Delhi

Yesterday, I went to old Delhi. New Delhi is the capital of India - the 'New' being the planned city. The 'Old' is literally the old, haphazard and unplanned city. Internet woes

I started this blog in mid-March 2006 when I moved to Kabul, Afghanistan, for a four-month assignment. In mid-July I moved back to India, and am continuing the blog.
