It Bugs Me

I've got to be off and running shortly, but I see more headlines about clown figures creeping around towns and people being terrified. I've never understoof the 'fear of clowns' people have. If Stephen King hadn't killed the clown story market with "It," I'd do one, but I know that the minute it... Sign in to see full entry.

The Writing Will Continue Despite The Holiday!

While I'll be filling in a a photographer at my old race track venue this weekend, a two day holiday affair, I'm going to continue to post material over in my fiction blog. I'm hoping that by no later than Tuesday, I'll have posted the last of "The Mercurial." Not that I'm tired of it, just want to... Sign in to see full entry.

Just Chilling

A friend fell off a ladder yesterday and he called me from his cell phone to rescue him. He had a broken arm, collar bone, and a few ribs. I am with him at the hospital so they can apply the permanent cast. As much damage as he did, it could have been much worse. Sign in to see full entry.

Finished... Or So It Seems

Well, this day veered away from what I intended to do after my walk. Nothing serious, but I hate it when people who live 40-50 miles away just show up, unannounced and expect to be 'entertained.' If they had called, I could have done several things different and I would have enjoyed their visit, but... Sign in to see full entry.

I'll Say Hello To Christoher Robin

A nice day before school starts tomorrow so I am going to take Johnny and Bruce, my two grandsons out for a walk in the "hundred acre wood" (that is actually only 39 acres) on this last day of freedom. John is going into second grade and Bruce is now a junior in high school. Smart young men both.... Sign in to see full entry.

A Peanuts Kind of Day

"It was a dark and stormy night..." the opening line to the novel that 'Snoopy' of "Peanuts" fame always used. When I was young, I had every single book that Charles Schulz ever published. If I was to be truthful, I was kind of a mix of Charlie Brown and Linus, but also a wildly imaginative version... Sign in to see full entry.

Once Again, Thanks Kabu!

I was wondering what I could put in this section today shy of 'It's a wonderful day here...." but then Kabu made a comment that gave me the idea. This could just as easy to wander over to my writing section, but I will just post it in both places. I may place a self promoting link there to this one... Sign in to see full entry.

Just A Thought

Planning is essential, but plans are worthless. Sign in to see full entry.

Curious George

I'm always curious what people think, this time in particular what you think about the ebb and flow of "The Mercurial." This story was a tangled little thing when it was told to me and I'm trying to 'untangle' it and make it work right. If you are reading it, you are aware that it jumps forward and... Mumblety-peg

"Some days are diamonds, some days are stone." Taken from John Denver's song of the same name. I have a lot of things to do today and I'd ten times rather be taking a walk with the grandson and the dogs in the woods. Last night was an uneasy sleep, my mind would not just shut up and allow me to... Sign in to see full entry.
