Good afternoon. The day got off to an odd start. We had a one- to two-year-old pup show up at our doorstep, obviously lost. After getting it calmed down and fed, it wasted no time curling up on a blanket the wife laid out and took a nap. The animal didn't have a collar on, but I could tell it had... In the "For What It's Worth" department, I've finally shed the last of the migraine I had for the last three days. I had never had migraines before the skull fracture I got in 1981, but I've had them a lot after that. Their frequency and intensity of them have steadily declined in the last fifteen... While I feel decidedly better than I did yesterday, I still am not 100%. With my brother heading back to Michigan in the next 18-24 days, I still have to make the proverbial "hay while the sun shines." There's been a lot done, but there is still a lot to do before this house is where I want it to... Sign in to see full entry.

Good early evening. Today was one of *those days.* Somewhere along the line, I know I posted my story, "My Long Road Back," the story of how I was assaulted while working in the prison psych ward. My skull was fractured, and I was nearly ten years in healing from it. For the longest time, nearly... Sign in to see full entry.

We had an unexpected guest this morning. This guy was a lab tech in the ER, where we worked for years in Lansing. He was on his way to visit family in Miami. We went out for coffee and had a good time remembering some of the weirder things we had seen in the ER. I posted a photo of the three of us... Sign in to see full entry.

After a night of ~ 52 last night, we are heading to 85 today, and I can't wait to get outside and begin to do some work in the yard. After fifteen years of utter neglect, the area is slowly becoming civilized. We are constantly pulling out the vines that want to pop up again, but with each passing... Sign in to see full entry.

This is just a quick update on a few things going on here. I am using my speech to text app, so if you see a few errors and spelling and intentions, bear with me. As I just posted in a comment to Pat, my friend is probably going to end up spending a day or three at the hospital. She had several... Sign in to see full entry.

I woke up rather late this morning... a long story, but I had an emergency call from an elderly friend of mine living in a town we used to live in... Avon Park, FL... who needed help. I called an ambulance for her and was up for three hours from about 2:30 AM until almost 6 AM. Hopefully, she will... Sign in to see full entry.

I intended to be here earlier this morning,, but I was invited to a Zoom meeting with my PWA *Power User* group that wasn't announced until thirty minutes before the meeting. I was outside and I got in here just in time for the meeting. When this over, I will make a few posts and explain what I am... Sign in to see full entry.

Good late morning. It's a bit cool this morning, but the afternoon will be very nice. We are slowly settling down again, and things are falling back into the serenity of normalcy, and we are grateful. As Joni Mitchell sang in her 1970 song, Big Yellow Taxi, * Don't it always seem to go that you... Sign in to see full entry.
