The Last Flower

The story was written by James Thurber, but this version of it finds the man who narrated my tribute to my wife, 'I Remember Judy - A Love Story,' Ray Lesniewski. The title is, 'The Last Flower.' It's only three minutes long, but I found it poignant enough to take the time convert it over for you... Sign in to see full entry.

Another day, another fifteen phone calls before 10:15. By the time I hit Blog-It in the morning, I normally have put 1500 to 2000 words behind me. Not counting replies to emails, I have accumulated a big fat ZERO word count. When I don't write, I get irritable. Everyone is hung about the China Flu,... Sign in to see full entry.

I've finally had to send out mass emails to friends and family that seem to think I'm running a free room and board without any notice that 'due to the China Flu, the management was no longer accepting new tenants.' At this time of the year, this village is lucky to have 400 people in it. Due to... Sign in to see full entry.

As always happens when I go back over 'My Long Road Back,' I begin to get stressed and have stress headaches. I know I refer to the injuries I sustained during my... Sign in to see full entry.

Whew. I got a tad over 5200 words in my political intrigue novel today. It was slow trekking, but once I get beyond setting the premise in place, I believe it will pick up the pace. It takes me a bit to get things set, so that as they story progresses, you can see that it was a progressive build up,... Sign in to see full entry.

I forgot to add this morning. I was talking to a local ten year old boy asked me a question. How much money does a pirate pay for corn? Simple, a buccaneer. Sign in to see full entry.

I ended up signing up four area churches, with two others needing to talk with their various boards. I don't charge churches for anything. If they wanted to broadcast every day, several hours a day, the cost is still nothing. I calling it 'giving back.' Two of them had computers that will work, I... Sign in to see full entry.

I had an unexpected appointment this morning. A pair of area churches want me to set them up so they can live stream their Sunday services. I'll be back roughly 11AM. Sign in to see full entry.
