Taking a Moment to Hug my World and emptying my Storage Shed

I was going insane watching television and had to turn it off and do something. I sent a little money to the animals, as they are the least of us and need the most compassion, speechless as they are. My family sends money to the Red Cross and considers taking guests into their homes. I put on my cd player instead and just listened to slow bossa nova and gospel music all day. I was sad and needed healing music, both worked. I worked at clay and then sat outside and embraced the lovely sounds of... Sign in to see full entry.

What is the big deal about breasts? Half of us have some............

You would think that the breast was something spectacular and rare and otherworldly. This is not a nation of purdah, women hidden in separate quarters and behind veils, protected from the world. The human body is revealed in this nation to such a degree as to horrify me, upon occasion. All a dumb boob has to do is turn on Howard Stern daily and get his grins and giggles and thrills there, no special fees required. Or, whatshisname, Jerry Springer. Or, for that matter, just about every darned... Sign in to see full entry.

Photo of a 45 minute Sunset, Rocky Point, Mexico

My sister sent this, saying that a fellow named Kenny from Remax took it and it was then used in their adverts. I wanna be ON THAT HORSE, now!!!! Sign in to see full entry.

blogging, audioging, and vlogging and flogging

Some family member in our huge Groups Email contingency mentioned 'blogging'. An older cousin, about 58 years old, asked, "What is blogging?!?!?" I wrote a long and huffity "insider in the know" kinda answer, all puffed up with myself, ya know? Then, my baby brother forwarded a newapaper article which said that, "audio blogging is the way of the future". And, with his particular skills, he bragged that he would do an audio blog for two sisters and their business. He was hipper than huffity me.... Sign in to see full entry.

Correction about my brother-in-law and some foolish suggestions

My sister, Mercedes, wrote an email saying, "Thank you sista for the cheerleading!! But just wanted to be clear on what Sergio won!! It is called the National Medal of Merit for AMPI (the real estate association for all of Mexico, like the NAR in the USA). It is even BETTER THAN the realtor of the year, because this is for your lifetime of work in the real estate industry!! And he has been doing Real Estate since 1995, I think!! The celebration is in Tabasco in October! " So, I stand corrected... Sign in to see full entry.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and the Heavenly

My sister, Mercedes sold a retail store site in Rocky Point after only two weeks there. Fluffy the Love Bird was killed and a daycare center mourns. (See my Abuelita's Animals Blog) My brother-in-law, Sergio Duenas Jimenez, did win the title of Realtor of the Year 2005 in all of Mexico! I desperately need a tanning booth and I live in Sunny Arizona. People lately have been asking me if I am ill. I haven't been in the sun in over eight years and I beginning to look like Mrs. Munster. And,... Sign in to see full entry.

Buy Real Estate in Puerto Penasco, Mexico = Rocky Point

My sister made me write that!! She is now living there and is selling condos and houses and land and lots through the Remax office there. Visit http://www.ollininc.com or write to ollininc@yahoo.com to check out my story. Google Puerto Penasco. It is being called the New Cancun. Just a few years ago it was a tiny fishing village like Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo and now Sandy Beach is full of resorts and hotels and secure communities. The college kids used to all camp on Sandy Beach and drive their... Sign in to see full entry.

Clay Fingerprints, Popsicle drips and Muddy Paw Prints

For over two months I have been sitting at my work table slaving away in clay, making art prototypes for the Chinese, babysitting grandchildren and the neighbor’s puppy. I have gotten red clay fingerprints on every surface, the kids have dropped popsicles all over the place, gone through my crafting closet and my art supplies and spread them everywhere, filled the garden with so many popped water balloons that it looks like confetti and the dogs have jumped in and out of the pool and dug in the... Lazy Abuelita posts a letter to maj as blogging sub.....

Maj, yup, no mayonnaise sandwiches should be eaten for lunch in Arizona, unless you made them and you kept them refrigerated, totally supervised by you. It's how we 'do each other in' around here, without raising any suspicions. I have been up day and night finishing the prototypes for China. I also had my brother look over the three lines that theyuse as a contract. My brother wrote a better licensing agreement which they agreed to sign. So, then I had to package the artwork carefully, I hate... Sign in to see full entry.

Wendy's burgers, dog pools, transvestites and macrobiotic experiments

Driving out to the Mission San Xavier to sell angels, I noticed many more roadside memorials along the roads, the crosses with flowers and balloons and signs on them. We need to be more careful out there when on, near, crossing, using and biking along those roads. My imaginary coffee table book on roadside memorials fills up with photos taken with my eyes, as I move around the town and state. I was listening to my Joy Drums from Japan cd, given to me by my Japanese host daughter, Mayuko, a few... Sign in to see full entry.
