Found my Passport !!

Majroj had said that it was somewhere just about its size. So, I gave up looking for the passport and folder and then decided to brush the dogs' winter coats off of them. I opened the cupboard containing their brushes, etc. in a large bakset and there was no basket with their things, but there was a large folding file with all of my important papers inside it. I know that I opened that particular cupboard before, looking for the folder, but it was cloaked before and just uncloaked itself this... Sign in to see full entry.

Why I Buy Lottery Tickets.....

I want to win the lottery, then use the money to manipulate my family into doing what I want them to do.... I want my oldest to move to town with my little barely known grandson, from his faraway Ohio home to Arizona. I want my second son to move from his faraway Ohio home with his fiance' and soon to be stepson and come to Arizona. I want my daughter to move closer to my home in town. I want my youngest son to move his crowd closer to my home. I figure that I should build one of those Saudi or... Sign in to see full entry.

Where Do All of My Good Ideas for Posts Go??!?!?

As I sit and work all day in clay, I have really profound and great thoughts. I do, I swear. I think, "Now, that was original and worth writing down for others to read." I work out the rest of the post in my head and promise myself to hit Blogit and post it. HA! By the time that the day is done, the thoughts are gone and cannot be recalled. I must take notes. When I think of something, I must write it down and then hit the high points in notations and then go back to work....sigh. Today, my... Sign in to see full entry.

This Newfound World of Mine

I don't have to scramble for the rent anymore and that is good. I have a rental car for two more days and that is wonderful. Ask for a compact car and arrive first thing in the a.m. to claim it. They will not have it there as yet and will have to upgrade you to a Crown Victoria. I did cut my hair really short and my memory and mind went with the cuttings. It was difficult to work without a mind in Phoenix at the Trade Show, but I managed. People were especially understanding after I explained my... Sign in to see full entry.

In the Santa fe' Library

I have arrived in Santa Fe' for the Nativity Show and my niece has walked my hips to death on backroads around the center of town, looking for rentals. I set up my table tonight and then the show starts tomorrow. I have already been talking to the Indian Nativity makers in front of the governor's Palace and told them to expect our buyers to wander over. More news later, Abuelita benzinha Sign in to see full entry.

Cough drops, copper nails and Junior Mints

The grandchildren spent two days here coughing and sneezing and complaiing about white spots on sore red throats. I washed my hands, I did everything and my throat is a little scratchy today, sigh. Luckily I have all of the throat drops and cough drops that I bought for my granddaughter, which she left here. Her brother bit his lip when I took him to the dentist and they put his mouth to sleep. "Bite your lip and tell us if you can still feel anything ", they instructed. So he did and blood... Sign in to see full entry.

A New Neighbor, A New Nativity, An Old Puppy and Some Real Bones

My friend's son, just moved into the house in my back garden. He is over six feet tall and over two hundred pounds. I sleep better already. We rarely talk as he doesn't talk to anyone, his mom says. He's a bartender at our Wildest Wildcat House and listens to drunks eternally, I think, which makes him nod and not speak much. Nice kid. My other two neighbors, the recovering breast cancer teacher on sabattical and her sister with the crazy Jack Russell terrier, sneaked out of their houses today,... Sign in to see full entry.

Tucson and Hereabouts and Here We Go Again

Brad Pitt is filming something named BABEL in Rocky Point, Mexico, Puerto Penasco, this week. They asked my sister to be the chubby American border patrol woman. She declined, thinking that she could take real estate business away from the young boys in her office, who are Amer. Border Patrol Agents in this film, while they are away filming. Thank God, she remarked, as the costume for the chubby woman didn't fit her replacement and the humiliation is not my sister's. They put up an extremely... Sign in to see full entry.

Watching Little Girls in the Supermarket

I have a Pollyanna attitude, that of looking for the good in everything that happens and of expecting the best outcome, when expecting something. But, I’m old and have seen too much and travelled too much to be unaware of what is going on around me and worrying some about “out of the normal” happenings. Case in point. I was grocery shopping about thirty minutes ago at my local Fry’s Supermarket. What I like about it, being in a troubled neighborhood, is that it has only one door in and out and...
